Description from owner

Description

Children are well catered for and dogs are very welcome. Retreat from the busy world to this majestic 18th Century Rectory on the mountain slopes of the wild Pembrokeshire coastline. We provide perfect facilities for your holiday, retreat or workshop for groups of up to 18 (or add the adjoining Cottage for up to 26 total). Highlights include; 6 bedrooms, a cosy living room with inglenook fireplace, a large workshop space (or second living room) with big bay windows looking over Newport Bay. A private 2/3 acre of romantic wild garden that now includes our new huge Games/Function room, Hot Tub, Patio and Stone Circle, including Parking for 7 cars and excellent self-catering facilities. (Add the 3 bedroom Cottage for 9 bedrooms in total for up to 26 and 10 cars.) You can have the utmost quiet retreat and listen to the grass grow, or celebrate, and play loud music and know that you have the privacy to do so. Many groups come annually for their spiritual retreat and find quiet in the house and garden to follow their own practice. All minorities are welcome. Some like to teach and learn healing arts or leave their sculptures in the garden or rearrange the furniture for their use. The large lounge on the first floor is ideal for workshops as well as the cottage living room. The house and garden is unique in being able to offer this. Other groups come back to play music together each year or party and leave a healthy bottle collection to recycle. Noise is no problem if you rent both properties. Likewise you can ensure peace as there are no neighbours around. There is a 3 foot stone wall between the house and the cottage so sound reduction is effective. Many families have up to 3 dogs if both places are rented.. Some engineers have used the house for several weeks doing night shift work and used the utility room for sandy and muddy garments. As long as there is respect for furnishings and the house is left clean enough for the professional cleaners to do their final touches everywhere, then many uses are welcomed. There are several local people who offer excellent catering to support workshops, celebrations and breakfast needs. Also there are also several halls nearby to rent as extra workshop or dance space to complement workshop use. Large areas in the garden have been used for yoga groups, tai chi, and other exercises. The house is suitable for a film location, writing and painting groups..We are surrounded by an open panorama of breathtaking views which are visible throughout the house. Behind us, the enchanted Carn Ingli (Angel Mountain), and in front, Newport Bay and the Irish Sea. From your doorstep, you can explore a web of beautiful walks through sacred sites, mystical woods and valleys, rocky highlands, and, of course, the incredible Pembrokeshire coast path.We are a fully independent, family run business, and we are always on-call to help your stay go smoothly. With 20 years in the business, we have a 5 star TripAdvisor rating and a long-standing 4 star Welsh Tourist Board rating, and thousands of happy guests, we can assure you of our ongoing standards and professionalism. We make it simple so you can just enjoy your time in this special place.Welcome
