4 Bedroom/2 Bath, 1 propane Fireplace plus AZ room wall propane heater and 4 electric bedroom heaters. (you won't get cold). Nestled in the cool valley between Escudilla Mountain range (3rd highest mountain in AZ, full of Elk and the last Grizzly Bear ever seen in az) and a rim wall behind property (Scattered Indian ruins from around 13th century) at 7,500 ft. elevation along Apache National Forest 15 miles South of Springerville/Eager in Nutrioso. Running stream in back of property with protected AZ spikedace tiny fish). Fly fish for trout starts just 2 miles from the cabin at Nelson Reservoir. Game and Fish stock up to 24,000 trout each season. Cabin Sleeps 12, not including the crib and air mattresses. (1 cal king, 1 queen, 2 twin over full bunk beds, 1 twin and 1 twin sofa pull out). 1 queen auto fill air mattress and 1 full auto mattress. Also, a stationary crib. Linen & towels furnished. WIFI, Blu-Ray, NetFlix, Vonage phone. Fully Equipped Kitchen & Laundry room w/ washer & dryer, Cabin Decor (Trout, Elk, Wolf, & Bear Rm). Living room w/leather couch, recliner and love seat. Custom Kitchen Juniper Table. Full size appliances and 2 full bathrooms (one on each level). Well water with excellent flow. Full of minerals and extra iron. Gas grill with 2nd backup propane tanks & Fire ring. For the fishing enthusiast: fly tying table, a fishing rod holder inside & wader hanger outside. Dog friendly (up to 2 good dogs for flat pet fee) Large AZ room has views concrete floor and kennels. For hunters: Excellent Elk and Turkey hunting w/ National Forestry access into Apache National Forest. We had 11 men with 11 Elk tags for 1st week of Dec 2016 and ALL got tags filled within 5 miles of cabin!

In greatroom, 50 inch Phillips flatscreen LCD HDTV with Blue Ray player, Free Netflix and Pandora. Direct TV with total choice package and NFL package each season.

Fishing licenses can be purchased in Springerville and Alpine. Even in the winter, there is hold over trout at Nelson reservoir. They are the smarter ones that lasted thru the angler season, but if you catch one you are the master! A honey hole document for fishing hot spots will be sent with directions and cabin keyless entry code is sent a day or 2 prior to your stay.

The TROUT STOCKING SCHEDULE starts in May and continues weekly through Sept in some streams and lakes. AZ Game and Fish Department sponsors this.

Too many things to do in the White Mountains to list! We are mile marker (412) on right, across from Escudilla mountain. Its all forestry land across hwy. We are within 2 miles of Sipe Wildlife area and museum (the back way) and main entrance mile marker 405. We are 300 yards from road up the Escudilla Mountain. The Rim behind cabin has Indian Ruins. It is an Elk migration path. We have a year round stream in back of our property, but it is fully fenced and access is thru a barn door for safety of kids and pets. We have a very large AZ room that the family and pets love. It's got a mountain view and horses next door. Large 5 drawers filled with board games and even twister.

Please indicate on your inquiry whether you have a dog or 2. There is a flat rate fee for 1 good dog= $50 per stay and 2 good dogs= $75 per stay.

This is a no smoking property inside. Please follow all local forestry restrictions for outside as the drought meter changes from green to red depending on local conditions and weather.

Behaved and Potty trained pets are conditionally allowed. Please inquire. We do not take any wire transfers and payments can be split up to as many as (3) as long as it's not a last minute booking. We do not offer any discount in full payment offers (that is usually a scam site). We also DO NOT take any personal credit card info (we use flipkey, trip advisor, homeaway, vrbo, or paypal only and we incur the 3% fee). A personal check for deposit or booking can be accepted with exact amount, appropriate time for clearance (a month), in state (Arizona) and a talk on phone (not just text). Getting around

Sipe wildlife museum within 5 miles. Cabin with direct view of Ecudilla Mountain. Sunrise ski resort only 30 minutes away. Springerville Indian and volcanic tour and museum 12 miles. Creek on property. Nutrioso reservoir stocked with 20k trout 2 miles from cabin. Alpine 10 minutes. Big lake approx 30 min.

A keyless entry code is sent for access a day or 2 prior to your stay. We are not on site, but we have a cleaning service and maintenance available for emergency. Please text, email, or call and we will get back with you asap.

“Could Use Some TLC”

Beautiful, spacious, quality built log home. Gorgeous, in fact! Setting too. Unfortunately, too many issues. Water was extremely hard with a metallic taste and odor. Upstairs and downstairs beds (for 2 adult couples) sagged on both sides of mattresses which made them too uncomfortable to have a good, solid sleep on. Upstairs bedspread was filthy and full of dog hair. (Our dogs slept on their own dog beds.) Could not open any of the windows in the upstairs bedroom so no fresh air at night. Windows were dirty. Could hardly see out of our bedroom windows. Upstairs shower and bath faucets didn't work. Shower head was clogged and the water was either too hot or too cold. They would not adjust. Four adults had to shower in the downstairs bathroom. Christmas decorations and decorated artificial Christmas tree In August? We went to celebrate a birthday, not Christmas! The microwave looks like it's ready to fall out at any moment, as it is not balanced and leans downward. Kitchen appliances, however, were in excellent working condition. It could be a really awesome house if the owner would keep up on the maintenance. Felt place was overpriced for what we got for our money and nonrefundable $250.00 deposit. If this beautiful log home was maintained better, we'd give it 5 star rating. But, sadly, we can't. And we won't be back.
