Puget View is five minutes off Interstate 5 from exit 111 on the outskirts of Lacey, Washington; about 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Olympia or Joint Base Lewis McCord (JBLM); 50 minutes south of Sea-Tac Airport and two hours north of Portland. Puget View is a good hub for day trips to Mt. Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park, Mt. St. Helens, Seattle, ocean beaches. Although Puget View feels far away, all services are only five minutes by car at I-5 exit 111.

The rain forest and beachfront preserve of Tolmie State Park are a five-minute walk, offering over two miles of nature trails through mossy rainforest vegetation.
Golf Club at Hawk's Prairie (36 holes) five minutes by car, as is destination shopping at Cabela's and the world's larges bead shop, Shipwreck Beads. Birders will appreciate five-minute access to Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. Everybody loves the three-mile delta pier at high tide.
