Lovingly renovated, this 1850's Gothic Revival, 3000 square foot, home retains its original features-woodwork, floors, stately rooms, high ceilings-yet is subtly updated with modern conveniences. The property, formerly owned by the 1st Senator of Kentucky, John Brown, is nestled right on the Kentucky River. Kayaks and stand up paddle boards are included in the rental fee. 500 acres to hike, explore and view wildlife. 14' dock is available for your boats. There are 3 original cabins on the property along with a 6 acre stocked pond. We are also a working cattle farm. Lots to do and experience here. It is the ideal spot for a family, a quiet, secluded, get-away.
We ask that guests respect the unique charm and history of this property, which may be seen by appointment only.
