Description

Lower Deck is a practical, comfortable family and group friendly accommodation. It is on the outskirts of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock and adjacent to the shores of the famous Milford Haven Waterway. It is the 'Lower Deck' apartment of a twin block, the other half of which is called the 'Upper Deck'. The property sits alongside 8 acres of woodland grounds suitable for gentle walking. It is perfectly situated for any type of holiday. but is particularly suited to those who appreciate outdoor activities and access to the water such as kayaking, sailing or watersports.

The accommodation complex comprises other bunkhouse/family accommodation, a Watersports facility, an outdoor play area, an indoor climbing wall and a Cafe. Lower Deck overlooks the Milford Haven estuary and is situated on the upper reaches where the famous naval vessel, HMS Warrior, was moored. Access to the public slipway is only 300 metres away from the front door. 'Lower Deck' is at the front of the complex.

To the rear of the property is an outdoor activity area /basketball/5 a side football/ table tennis area which can be utilised by guests. There is also a 'stone circle of Preseli blue stone' nestled at the side of the accommodation. It is a sheltered spot which would provide an area for relaxing, safe play for children, barbecue and drinks at any time of day. The adjoining woodland can be explored and has views over the western arm of the estuary. There is a picnic area within the wood including a 'giant's' table. These facilities are communal and will be shared with any other guests who book the adjoining properties. There is wifi in the cafe area but it is currently not extending into the accommodation.

Lower Deck is being offered as a holiday let for up to 16 people. It comprises 1 small double bedroom, 7 rooms with 2 bunk beds, and 2 shower rooms. There is a communal lounge/dining area and kitchen.

The property is self catering. The kitchen is basic, clean and well equipped for a self catered holiday. There is a cafe on site for snacks, cakes, tea and coffee and purchase of locally sourced provisions.

Good location , staff are friendly , it is more than cottage hostel . Many rooms with no double beds , only bunk beds .

I hope you feel that the sleeping arrangements (1 small double bed) are accurately described in the property description and in the follow-up information given at the time of booking as I appreciate adults do not always like to sleep on bunk beds. Kids love them though! You were a very easy group of guests to have to stay. Regards. Sue.
