“The best vacation ever!!” This vacation was like discovering a hidden paradise ! La Joya was fantastic and gogeous. Abeautiful home overlooking the Pacific ocean high on the cliffs. The people were wonderfully friendly , beaches beautiful. Great surfing and great food.

“Great beach, nice pool, spacious modern condo on the ocean.” Playa el Coco Townhome, Playa el Coco, Nicaragua, Dec 11-18,2013. An amazingly beautiful unspoiled Pacific coast beach in the south of Nicaragua about a half hour from San Juan del Sur. A lovely townhouse complex - quiet, beautiful gardens, a shared pool, right on the beach. Great security. Very helpful staff at the front gate, who helped us find someone to come and cook and clean up for a few hours a day at a very reasonable rate. Also the owner of our townhouse lives nearby on the same property and helped us find someone to drive us to town and to see the turtles. Our 4 bedroom townhouse was spacious and modern, with central air conditioning and a big living room. Really good beds, bedding, pillows. Modern kitchen. The complex is all concrete so no noise from other units, though within our unit, our family could create quite a racket in the living area - just normal family life. Our extended family of eight (parents, 3 children, 3 grandparents) rented for the second week of December 2013. The best part was the beach - the waves were great for the kids to play in, big enough for boogie-boards. Real surfing available on nearby beaches.

“Your dreams come true at Tropical paradise Casa Malinche El Rema” We had an unforgettable time at Casa Malinche, El Remanso Bay. This was a truly get-away experience, with no cell phone and internet, only the wild chocoyos (parakeets)and parrots waking us up in the morning and opening the bedrooms balcony doors to breath taking views of El Remanso (El Sucio) Bay below. We spotted whales surfacing one early morning from our balcony. Beginner surfers, mostly foreigners (European and North american), came to El Remaso since early morning to take advantage of the forgiving waves. We traveled with my two children and another family. We were able to rent surf boards at the beach for $10 per day! and instructors to both my kids - my children were able to stand up on their boards and ride the waves almost like pros. Pleasant crystalline, light turquoise waters above 80 degrees F. and mild waves coming ashore (so the name Remanso). San Juan del Sur is just 20 minutes away by car (no need for 4WD) to re-stock or to check on e-mails. We took a boat ride to neighboring Playa Blanca, a private beach only accessible by boat. The views of the Pacific shoreline are unbelievable! Saving the best for last, Casa Malinche is a rustic wood log-framed house with wood siding, founded on pylons. Very comfortable and spacious, open architectural layout. All bedroom windows are screened, so sleeping with windows open listening to the night sounds of waves crashing below and the night fauna is a truly wild experience. Up on the hill the breeze is very refreshing, so we did not have issues with insects. The house comes with all linens and towels, kitchen appliances etc. etc. You only need to bring yourself and your family. Also, be prepared for a good workout to climb stairs to the sleeping quarters and to get to the beach, although the beach is accessible by vehicle if desired. Live-in house keepers are friendly and helpful if you need directions. They are not intrusive with guests. Highly recommended for true adventurer and nature minded!

Casa Cielo Azul - The House of Blue Heaven
Incredible!!!

I was so nervous to book a villa from a private owner over the Internet but We decided to take the chance, and two weeks later we were absolutely blown away. This villa was truly a beautiful adventure. The villa was huge! There was only two of us and our little girl so we really only used a couple rooms total. The architecture inside was breath taking. Surrounding our villa was a family of howling monkeys, which was so cool to see! With the security guard standing outside our villa 24hrs, as well as the secured gate to enter the community, we always felt safe. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!! I stayed here in early 2014 with five others. It was an excellent four days. We hung out by the water, in the many hammocks, and when we felt like we needed a break from perfect isolation (albeit with a few other compounds around), we headed into San Juan del Sur for good eats, groceries, and an incredible boat tour to a largely uninhabited beach. … see more

Bayview Terrace # 5 San Juan Del Sur Nicaragua February 4th to March 4th 2014 What a great place! The condo, the landscape, the weather and the people made this the perfect holiday. The condo is immaculate and the wonderful housekeeper Catalina came twice a week to clean. Not a drop of rain fell during the day for a whole month! The beaches were great for exploring and surfing. Playa El Coco - Beautiful Townhome on the Beach
Quiet and relaxing

Our stay in Playa el Coco was excellent. For the most part we had the beach and pool to ourselves. The soft white sand and gentle waves make this destination perfect for families with children. The wind was strong at times but the sunshine made up for it. The condo is about 25 min south of San Juan del Sur so you are quite secluded. This makes for great relaxation and quiet. We found renting a truck useful for a few days to explore the surrounding area. Jim is very accommodating as is the manager on duty. They both will help facilitate what you need and/or want to do, including renting a truck and driver for the day. A cook and cleaner are available for a small fee. The condo itself is spacious and well equipped. All appliances including the air conditioning worked well. As a family of 5 we had a great time and Jim ensures that you are comfortable for your entire stay. … see more
Beachfront 3 Bedroom Condo at Playa El Coco
This was a relaxing and fun place to spend a week in Nicaragua!

The service was prompt for booking and whenever we needed anything. We really enjoyed the unit and it's location within the complex (on the end.) The on-grounds staff was very helpful and friendly. Playa el Coco was a quiet, safe beach for our young family (1 yr. and 3 yr. old children) and the unit had everything we needed. It is far from town, so be sure to stock up before arriving and/or rent a car if you plan to do sightseeing. Although there were a lot of bugs that crept in through the doors and windows, the place was cleaned daily and we were in the tropics so we expected some bugs!! Beautiful and Quiet

The home was gorgeous and spacious. The view was breathtaking and the pool is a great addition. We spent Thanksgiving week and we were sad to leave. Eliezer (the care taker) is amazing. We really appreciated all of his help and information. He speaks fluent English which was helpful to my in-laws. Although I speak Spanish, it was nice to pick his brain as far as local restaurants and things to do. We had his friend Feliz come over to cook twice and she was awesome too. You tell her what you want and she will buy everything and bring her receipts for the food and you give her extra for her time. Tips- Make sure you get a 4X4 to get up and down the hills-there is a beautiful view because you are up on the mountains. The home is equipped with all of the housewares you will need but make sure you bring all of your toiletries and ask Eliezer for extra towels if you need them. You are given a max amount electricity you will be allowed to use. We did not go over but we also only used the AC while we slept. The home has fans in the living area but no AC through out-this is why the pool is helpful-we just jumped in to cool off when needed. … see more
