Description from owner
Description
Hill Cottage is an extremely comfortable and homely self catering property built by local tradesmen to a very high standard in 2012 to a traditional Skye design. It sits on top of a hill in the small crofting township of Park Bernisdale, 9 miles from Portree, giving a fantastic panoramic view out over Loch Snizort towards Harris in the Outer Hebrides. Even when the weather is not so good, the light, the sky and the sea combine to give an ever changing scene.
**Sorry but I do not allow pets in Hill Cottage**
The location is extremely private with absolutely no passing traffic. Peace and quiet are guaranteed.
There are 2 bedrooms (a double with an ensuite and a twin), a very comfortable lounge with a log burning stove and a spacious dining room with large adjoining kitchen. They all look out the front of the cottage.
The hot water and underfloor heating are provided by the renewable energy combination of solar panels and air source, which as well as being more energy efficient than conventional heating systems, give a much more even and effective level of comfort throughout the cottage.
The cottage is in a great location for visiting north and central Skye with discounts for a couple only or for stays of 2 weeks or longer. It can take a maximum of 4 people including children aged 8 or over. The minimum stay is 3 nights and please ask about availability from any day of the week as well as the traditional Saturday arrivals and departures. The price quoted is the total price. There are absolutely no additional costs.
Free wi-fi is provided amongst many other items such as all bed linen, towels, toiletries, washing up liquid, soap powder, tea, coffee, etc, etc,
My old family home, Park Cottage, is another self catering holiday home on the same croft. They are quite separate and private as neither cottage is visible from the other.

“Well-appointed luxury cottage in perfect location with fantastic views”
Close to Portree with easy access to the north of the island, but not too distant from anywhere on Skye. Great views over Loch Snizort from all rooms. This is a luxurious cottage; comfortable and warm (and would probably be so in winter), including a well designed kitchen with ample storage and everything we needed to self-cater. Comfy bed and spacious bathrooms. Quiet with no passing traffic. The welcome pack was much appreciated after a long drive.
