Description
This traditional croft cottage was stone built in circa 1910 and retains all its original charm on the outside but has been internally modernised. The cottage is detached and sits in a rural setting, with lovely views overlooking the river Snizort. Situated only 5 miles from the principle town of Portree, the cottage is in an ideal position for touring around the island.
With modern furnishings throughout, a cosy living room, fully equipped kitchen (with dining table), wet room with walk in shower. Two double bedrooms and one single. Private garden and large parking area. Linen and towels provided.

“Beautiful location. Can't fault it.”
Lovely little croft. Beautifully finished inside. Fantastic views over the river. Great location for touring the island. All the amenities of Portree just 10 minutes away. Very well equipped and comfortable throughout. One of the nicest beds I've ever slept in! Plenty of space to park. Regular visits from a nesting blackbird and three chickens wandered through every day, rooting around in the grass. Would definitely return next time I'm on Skye.

“Nice stay”
Weather was great and a very tidy cottage that we enjoyed staying in. A picnic bench in the back garden would have been great to sit out on and enjoy the sun!

“Wonderful river side cottage”
A fantastic place to stay on Skye. Immaculately presented and clean, with very attentive owners, the cottage is located in the wonderful village of Skeabost......with its very own salmon river!

“Perfect location and cottage for visiting Skye.”
Riverview was a great base for our trip to Skye and presented in perfect condition by the owners, including additional cleaning and measures put in place for the current Covid situation , all very reassuring on arrival. The cottage itself had everything we needed for our trip and was ideally located for our days out on Skye. We enjoyed the outdoor bench for relaxing after long days and viewing the distant Cuillins. John/Agnes and Mairi were easy to deal with and replied promptly to all questions we had before and during our trip. We will be back on Skye and won't hesitate to stay at Riverview on our next trip.

“Well-Appointed Cottage in a Fantastic Location”
We visited the cottage during the late August Bank Holiday. It was our first trip away post-Covid and much needed. The cottage is spacious and has every home comfort you would wish for, including wi-fi that works perfectly. What really sets this cottage apart though, is its location. It is in the midst of beautiful countryside, and has views over rolling hills to the Cuillin. It is ideally situated in the middle of the island to be a centre for touring and the drive around the Trotternish peninsular is amazing – one highlight was the Flora Macdonald memorial in a beautiful setting. Nevertheless the restaurants of Portree are just a four-mile drive away. We will return.

A wonderful stay at Agnes cottage. Simply a home from home. 10 minute walk to Skeabost hotel for a drink and food. Would definitely recommend.
