Description

This beautifully renovated farm cottage is set within a rural location just outside the town of Presteigne. Quarry House is surrounded by woodland and is situated below Burfas Camp. The house is set within 3 acres of gardens with far reaching views across the Herefordshire countryside. Offa's Dyke and other walks are accessible from the grounds of the house, that guests can enjoy during their stay. The house sits north of the River Lugg which forms the England-Wales border. The location is an ideal holiday base from which to explore the Herefordshire, Shropshire and Welsh Marches areas. Close to Presteigne, which is the 'Gateway to Wales'. Nearby shops and pubs are within 3 miles.

The house is also within easy access to Ludlow, Hay-on-Wye and a day out at the coast.

Quarry House offers two large double bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other with a double antique French bed. One twin bedroom with sofa bed (available upon request for an additional charge). All rooms having views across the stunning countryside allowing you to awaken to a room with a view! One bedroom with bunk beds, is situated at the rear of the property. The family bathroom features a stunning roll top bath with shower attachment, heated towel rail, toilet and sink. All of which have been recently redecorated and modernised to create a comfortable but luxurious home from home. Ground floor: Spacious kitchen with large farmhouse dining table with quarry tiled flooring, Rangemaster cooker, separate electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and coffee machine. The kitchen is very well appointed with plenty of cutlery, crockery, glassware and cookware. The updated shower room with large walk-in shower, heated towel rail, toilet and sink allows ground level access. The lounge has comfortable seating for 8 people and features a Danish wood-burner for those chilly evenings to snuggle up and enjoy the 3D flat screen television. The addition of a games room with separate WC, pool table, TV, DVD, games console, board games and DVDs provides a retreat for the children or young at heart! The house is baby / child and dog friendly. We provide a high chair, cot, baby bath, change mat, steriliser and stair gates for both children and dogs.

Quarry House has been renovated to a high standard to provide a luxury home from home holiday rental. The house has been equipped with all the facilities that we would find in our own home including the exact dishwasher! We hope our guests will enjoy Quarry House as much as we do.
