Description from owner
Description
The main thing our guests comment on is the views of the Cairngorm mountains, which can be seen from the cottage and garden. We are located above the village so these can be enjoyed in peace and quiet. In the foreground are sheep and lambs, as we are in a crofting area, together with lapwings, curlews, oyster catchers and hares. But also our guests also find the cottage well equipped, warm and comfortable.
The majority of our guests come to walk or bike, which can be done from the door. The Newtonmore wildcat trail is only 200m from the house. And there is an unlimited number of local walks and rides.
This cottage is suitable for couples, two singles wanting separate rooms or a couple with one friend/ child.
The cottage was rated 3* by Wyndham vacation rentals (2019).

Response from the owner Thank you for your review Christine. We will look into the soundproofing of the door. I think your comments about refurbishments however give a wrong impression: we spend quite a bit on this each year having in the past 3 years replaced the hall lino, the living room carpet, the gas cooker, the mattress, the bedlinen and the cottage was fully repainted 15 months ago! Unfortunately damage can happen at any point and that to the fridge is cosmetic only so we have not as yet replaced the fridge. This cottage has been objectively graded at 3* by either Visit Scotland or Wyndhams for the past 10 years including 2017 and decor is one of their considerations.
