Description
Ever popular Glendale Studio is a delightfully compact but comfortable 2 bedroom self catering unit, annexed to the former Portnalong shop and situated next to Glendale Cottage.
The "Studio" space is deceptive with a double and single bedroom separate from the main kitchen, living, dining area. The Studio is well equipped and offers views over to Loch Harport or the Cuillin mountains.
We have installed central heating in the Studio and with the addition of a woodburning stove, it is now available all year. Even when it is snowing outside, the Studio is warm and cosy.
In 2020 we modernised the shower room and added a dishwasher in the kitchen.
Pet friendly with mature enclosed garden and patio area to sit out and enjoy the view.
Parking is off road and guests have shared access to garage area for storing bikes, canoes etc.
The Minginish peninsula offers fabulous views and is an ideal location for exploring the Isle of Skye. Glendale Studio is 3 miles north of the village of Carbost, where Skye's only whisky distillery is located and only half an hour's drive to Portree.
Linen, electric and logs are included in the weekly price.
Glendale Studio has a strict no smoking policy.

“Lovely cottage”
Well-equipped cottage with a beautiful view from the lounge. Quite remote but we loved that. Some nice walks from the cottage. A bottle of wine and a pint of milk to welcome us was a nice touch.

“Excellent stay on skye”
Beautiful island very dramatic landscape. Excellent studio cottage just right for2 people and2 dogs. Garden was great with amazing views. The cottage vey comfortable and well equipped. We will definitely be going there again.

“A relaxing holiday.”
The cottage was perfectly situated on the Peninsula overlooking the lake. Everything needed was in the cottage and it was clean and tidy. The garden was a nice added benefit and secure for the dog. Just one only point is the cottage didn't get any sun at all in the living area, so could feel quite cold, even when sun was out. The woodburning stove was a great asset for somewhat chill evenings.

Had a great time!studio was nice and central for doing most things on the island! Nice view from the window!had everything you needed!enjoyed the logburner! Felt very cosy! Nice bottle of wine for when we arrived !

“Glendale Studio stay April '19”
We had a great week in the studio. Very comfortable and cosy. Everything worked OK. Good location for exploring Isle of Skye. Good wi-fi and TV via Freeview and Netflicks.
