“Great place”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2019

This property is the perfect place for a base away from towns. It is well equipped with everything you need. On a clear day the views are fantastic and the graveyard outside the back door has its perks when you want your kids to go too sleep. There is a small shop where you can get your essentials from and a pub which is child friendly but doesn’t serve food. That would be the only downside is that you either have to cook all the time or travel to eat out in the evenings. The owners of the property are very helpful and I would definitely recommended this place to stay.

“Overall nice stay but could improve”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2016

Met by owner on arrival who was pleasant and showed us around the property. Description of property was a little misleading as no mention of kitchen overlooking graveyard (3 feet from back door). Looking beyond this was a lovely view however of the valley and sea in the distance. Property was cold and felt a little damp but there is no gas central heating to warm it up only electric heaters in each room. Also a little disappointed to have to contribute towards the electric bill given the price paid. The property was very clean and very well equipped and had everything you would need for a stay. Front door however leads straight onto a busy road so care needed if you have children staying. Location is ok but as property is in a remote village a vehicle is essential and recommended. Ann and ray are very nice people with very good knowledge of the local area and very helpful.

Response from the owner It was nice to meet you and appreciate your acknowledgement of our cleanliness and well equipped cottage. The site does state we back on to the village churchyard, . There is no gas in the village but heaters in all rooms are very efficient and not costly.
