Description

Stables Cottage is beautifully set on a private estate in the North York Moors National Park. Stables is very comfortably furnished and all bedding and towels are provided. One of the great advantages of Murkhead Holiday Cottages is that they are set in beautiful rolling countryside yet only 10 minutes drive from Scarborough and 10 miles from Whitby. It is perfectly situated for Robin Hoods Bay, Sandsend, and many other famous areas with the advantage of lots of local good pubs for eating a short drive away.

We also have super fast WiFi.

“Murkhead Holiday Cottage”

A lovely home from home for a week. We stayed in the Stable Cottage. Two beds, king and twins, both with bathroom (both had baths with showers over). The other 2 cottages were able to accept dogs (I think) but ours wasn’t. All mod cons dishwasher, microwave. TV (satellite). Very clean. No downstairs loo if you’re used to this. Very clean on arrival. All good as far as we were concerned.

“Lovely peaceful cottage”

The cottage is in a beautiful quite area of theYorkshire moors, you need a car to get about but a great base to explore from. Fifteen minutes to Scarborough and fifteen minutes the other way to Whitby. Would recommend.

“Fabulous holiday cottage”

We had an absolutely fabulous stay here, the cottage has everything you need. Beautiful views and a lovely cake and a bottle of wine left for us on arrival. The owners couldn’t do enough for you. We will definitely book again.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Joanna (the owner) a message.

If Joanna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
