Capel Cartref is a newly renovated chapel offering a unique and luxurious space for holidaymakers. The chapel provides a warm and welcoming haven. The gallery hosts a vaulted ceiling with original beams. Pews have been reclaimed and used around the chapel as window sills, kitchen cornices and window shutters. The chapel has been finished to a very high specification with all of the comforts of home. Breakfast and dining can be held in the spacious modern kitchen or on the decked veranda which overlooks River Twrch. Capel Cartref suits people who wish to walk, sightsee, cycle, play golf, pony trek or just kick back and take in a movie on DVD on the 42" plasma. This is the perfect accommodation for family reunions... a spacious property to spend time together without getting under each others feet. The property is within easy reach (via bicycle or car) of Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains, Afan Park and Henrhyd Waterfalls. Also South Wales is host to the beaches of The Gower, Mumbles and Swansea Bay, these are accessible by car. The Crown Pub has opened approximately 500 yards from the chapel, which means eating out closely is now an option.
Capel Cartref is a holiday accommodation and is therefore available for short term lettings consisting of weekends or weekly bookings. The rental cost includes laundry, towels, hot water and heating - please bring your own beach towels. 40% deposit required and final payment to be concluded 3 weeks prior to holiday date. A welcome pack will be provided, detailing specifics about the chapel, ie use of heating, cooker plus details of local attractions such as Afan Park, Brecon Beacons, local waterfalls, black mountains, Aberdulair Falls, Pony Trekking, local golf courses and much more. People who wish to take their dogs on holiday are made welcome at Capel Cartref. The dogs must be well supervised and only permitted downstairs

“Spacious and luxurious...but...”
Very high spec accomodation and an owner who bends over backwards to make sure you have a comfortable stay. There is however traffic noise from the main road which can be heard in the bedrooms, even with all windows closed. The dog next door barks during the night and early morning, it needs putting down. A few plastic cups for children would also be useful.
Response from the owner Wow! A first to mention a barking dog. We will certainly check who has a dog that barks during the night, etc. but we will not be asking them to, 'put it down...' You have left the premises now but there are plastic cups in the cupboard, the same one that contains the plastic plates. The chapel is situated on a 'B' road but guests have generally not been hindered by the sound of traffic, in fact most have not noticed it, so I am very sorry if it upset you. Capel Cartref is a beautiful place to stay comfortable warm and welcoming. There is so much to do in the area and further afield if you choose or just chill out.
