Why CASTELNOU?
This village was voted ONE of the MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES of FRANCE. I discovered and fell in love with this one of a kind picturesque village, its Castle built in the Xth century, old Church, Medieval history, architecture and peacefulness, twenty years ago. Located near the MEDITERRANEAN, the PYRENEES and the SPANISH BORDER, it is only one hour North of BARCELONA.
What makes this house unique?
Located inside the fortified wall of Castelnou, this comfortable house with personalized decoration and breathtaking 360 degree views of the Medieval Castle and its surrounding landscape, will be your HOME AWAY FROM HOME. It is the PERFECT destination for a CALM and RELAXING VACATION. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!
This two-story home sleeps 6 adults in 2 bedrooms and a mezzanine. The bright master bedroom leading to the terrace has amazing 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape and the Medieval Castle just above. The extra large master bathroom has double sinks, a shower and a tub. The spacious mezzanine has XVIIIth century wood beams and a hardwood ceiling. It can also be used as a reading room. The extra large second bedroom, with its vintage furniture and views of the village's cobblestone streets is located downstairs. The comfortable living room has a wood burning stove and the large remodeled kitchen is fully equipped.
The 25 square meters terrace has 360 degrees breathtaking views of the valley, the hills, the surrounding forests, the Xth century Castle and the old Church. It is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful breakfast, lunch and diner, while enjoying beautiful views.
