Description from manager

Description

MacKinnon Chalet is located in the peaceful community of Ord on the Sleat Peninsula. It has access to the shore below and offers views of Blaven and the Cuillin Ridge. Making the most of the views there is a terraced decking area with table and chairs to while away the hours.

The ground floor has an open plan kitchen / dining / living area with patio doors leading out to the decking. The cosy lounge has two comfortable sofas, a wood burning stove, board games, books, TV with built in DVD player, Sky television and an IPod/MP3 docking station. Guests are welcome to use the logs stored at the cottage during their stay.

The kitchen is very well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box and a dishwasher. The light and bright dining area seats 4 comfortably.

Also on the ground floor the double bedroom has a wardrobe and two bedside cabinets for storage. There is a hairdryer for guests to use as well. There is a spacious family bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and wash hand basin as well as a second WC and wash hand basin which also houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.

Upstairs there is a small twin room with hanging space built into the alcove. The open mezzanine floor has a cosy seating area with games to play.

Please Note: No BBQ's are permitted at this cottage.

Important Information:

Pet Fee: There is a pet fee of £30 per pet per week. This will be requested through Tripadvisor. The cottage is pet friendly but the owners ask that you please do not allow your pets on the furniture or on the beds. Please don't leave pets unattended in the cottage. On Skye there is communal grazing and sheep do roam the area so please keep dogs on leads when in these areas. Also please make sure that you clean up after your pet.

Please Note: No BBQ's are permitted at this cottage.

Families are welcome at this property. Cot and high chair available: Please bring your own linen for the cot.

Linen, towels, electricity and the final clean are included in the rental.

£50 per week Electric Car Charge with own charger. ( The Property does not provide chargers or a stand alone charging point).

£45 admin fee will be charged for any amendments to the booking.

Additional charges will only occur for breakages or any additional cleaning. It would be appreciated if the cottage was left in the same order as you found it. Many thanks!

Whilst we hope that none of our guests experience issues during their stay, we do need to point out that due to the cottage's location on the Isle of Skye, some services can be temperamental and can take a lengthy delay to get resolved. Internet speed can be very slow and the service can fluctuate during the day and week. Mobile phone signal is very patchy on the Isle of Skye. Also, to replace any broken appliances, it can take weeks for a delivery to happen. We will at all times try our hardest to rectify any issues but please bear with us as there can be issues due to location that are out with our control.
