Response from the owner Thank you so much for your kindest words about our home. We do try to make you feel welcome and we thoroughly enjoy what we do. Our visitors from abroad are always welcome and we are happy to help out wherever possible. On a practical level - the TV will be updated to a larger flat screen model soon, the current one is 32 inches. But there is a full Sky package which hopefully helps the sports addicts ! (like my son) Unfortunately, Wi-Fi we can only dream about. The Welsh Assembly are slow to provide and I would kill for it too ! However, they assure us that one day they will plug us in. There is free Wi-Fi at the nearby Café Bistro Marran Grass. We will always strive to improve and a warm welcome is a guarantee. Clare Brockley

“A lovely house in a quiet location with the perfect host”

Reviewed 20 May 2014

The house is fantastic for two couples. It's a little off the way, but that adds to the the charm of the site and is great to explore Anglesey and North Wales. The house is very well maintained and looks nicer that the pictures. Also, Clare is an amazing hosts, who will go the extra mile to help you with everything and make your stay as nice as possible. She really cares that you feel at home. Even if we always tend to try different places, we would love to return to Penryn Mawr.

“The best cottage in Anglesey”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2013

We have stayed a number of times at the Cottage in Dwyran and we love it to bits and never want to leave it. It is sited very close to the Menai Straits and to the delights of Newborough Warren, forest and beach. The peace and seclusion of the very comfortable and well equipped cottage are idyllic and the view from the living room is incredible - across the water to the dunes and to the mountains. If you love nature then this is just the place for a wonderful getaway. We are always so at home and made welcome - just perfect.

“Relaxing retreat”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2012

If you want the high life with the fast pace and all the high tech modern gagets to go with it you will totally hate this place. We however just wanted to watch TV in a cosy little lounge when the rain came down hard and when it didn't, wonder out down a country lane with our dog, whilst enjoying some peace and quiet in tranquil surroundings. As returning visitors we love it. Clare and Rayton are the perfect hosts who say hello and give a warm welcome and then leave you to enjoy your stay but are on hand if you really need them. The kitchen is very well equiped and is idea for cooking up recipies while you have the time to do it. The beds are comfy for a good nights sleep but you must remember your own linen as this isn't provided. There is no WiFi but there is a small portable HiFi which plays CDs. There is Sky TV but we didn't have a good mobile signal which we love as having busy lives it was great to just switch off. We will be back!!!!

Response from the owner Thank you ! I am so glad you enjoyed your stay again this year at The Castaways. Most of our visitors return year after year. We will continue to keep the standard high and as you rightly point out it is for those seeking peace and quiet with great views. Home from Home !
