“Best yet!!!”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2014

Our group of friends have been taking vacations together for years. Casa de admirada was the perfect home away from home for our week stay. The location of the house in relationship to all of the different excursions our group took was fabulous. Diving at Tranquil Seas was a great experience and all of the people we met were wonderful. The kayaks were utilized to go out to some great snorkeling just around the corner. Totally miss this place already and hope to return in the future.

“A week in paradise”

We recently visited roatan the first week of march and boy did we have a good time. The house is absolutely gorgeous with an awesome pool area too. The yards and pool area are very well maintained by the grounds keeper. The house is divided in many different areas so each could have their private own space and there was enough space in the main house for us to all be together too. Everything in the property was in order and liz from roatan rentals was very helpful. I do recommend using the pickup service they provide as some people of our group had trouble finding the house with regular taxis. The house is very well located with easy access to west end with a short 2 min taxi ride( wich cost 1-2 bucks each way). I highly recommend this to anyone who's thinking of visiting roatan with a large group. J-P

“Gorgeous Property”

The villa was perfect and easily accommodated our two families totalling 9 adults. It's accurately describe online and well appointed. The pictures and video are accurate and do it justice. Will, the onsite property manager, quietly worked hard every day to keep the entire property in order. The owners were very accommodating to our special requests. Roatan Life Vacation Rentals is first class. Thanks Mike, Liz, Chenin and especially Mark who went beyond the call of duty for a wonderful vacation and accommodating our family surprise. It was perfect.

“Beautiful house and location”

Loved this house and vacation!! pros - kayaks (2 kayaks for adults, 2 kayaks for children) close to nice reefs to snorkel close drive to West End walking distance to restaurants on Sandy Bay Beautiful home aC in bedrooms In a neighborhood with many locals around - great cultural experience Not "touristy" feeling Chef Susan was a great experience. Very fun and yummy! Staff helpful with setting up excursions and any help needed Beautiful pool Lots of privacy in the house - perfect for several families who come together - 5 separate areas cons - no aC in living area of main house 10 minutes to get to reef by swimming from Sandy Bay or kayaking from Gibson Bight (need to be adventurous) roosters loud in morning beach at the house is not white sand - not really where you would sit on beach Sandy Beach is not pretty, white sand either (Go to West Bay beach for beautiful beach/white sand) Mostly a grass bottom in Gibson Bight and Sandy Beach until you reach the reef House is on a dirt road that is kind of hard to get to if you rent a car (very bumpy and narrow) We were very happy we stayed at Casa admirada. Beautiful house and view. Good location.

“Perfect!”

We rented the house Jan 25- Feb 1, 2014. We were a group of 6 couples in our 40's and 50's and the home was just perfect for us. It was very clean, had everything we could possibly have needed and plenty of outdoor space to just sit and watch the water :) If you are content to stay in and do your own cooking, this is certainly a perfect location for that. It's very quiet and you are away from West End and West Bay. We had previously been to Roatan and knew we enjoyed the food in the West End so much that we would be eating out! If you do that, you'll probably want to rent a car. It's a 5 minute drive to the West End and driving is not a problem here at all.

“Home is beautiful-- pool great-- beach not so much”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2014

The house was lovely. Pool was great with nice pool bar. The casita's were wonderful as well. Bbq area was very much enjoyed. Beach not so great. Water not so great lots of turtle grass, shallow the house is situated more on a inlet so no waves and had to paddle out to the reef and open ocean. I would prefer to stay right on the ocean with waves next time and a beach to walk on!! Would be nice if Pool bar had a ipod hook up with speakers also in the house would be nice for sound system of some sort for ipod music. We brought our own along with a small speaker. Also no hair dryers available in any room. We did not bring any so that was a bummer. We loved having a room for each of us (5 couples) with our own coffee maker, fridge and bathrooms were lovely. Lots of fans and also had air conditioning in each unit and a safe. We stayed in the outside Casita closes to the water. Dogs and pig and rooster were a bit noisy in the early morning hours but you do get use to them after you have been there awhile. We stayed total of 12 days :) Liz and Mark were wonderful to work with and Mark was exceptionally helpful with all our needs...water taxi to West end, van rental, Susan cooked us dinner, boat excursion with Tim and Michelle was awesome and we paid to have for house cleaners to come in mid way during our stay...Washer and dryer was very useful and we brought some of our own air mattresses for the pool. Kayaks they have 2 regular size ones and 2 smaller ones...small ones could only be used by a child or smaller women. We were short one paddle also so only could use 3 kayaks. The worst thing for me was I got very very very bitten up by fleas or no see-um's or something in the evenings. I swell up and am still itching 2 weeks after getting home. I used deet spray stayed away from smelly lotions but nothing seemed to help. This did not bother everyone just a few of us. Someone said to put coconut oil or baby oil on so they stick and cannot bite!
