The Perfect Honeymoon or Romantic Break Destination within Grade A listed Monastery with views of Loch Ness
The Boys' Dormitory is a spacious, four-star, one bedroom apartment positioned on the vaulted top floor of the old monastery, with huge arched stone mullioned windows. The property has views in three directions with every window offering sensational views of the landscape. The monastery is undoubtedly the finest building at the Abbey and in the most prominent position, directly overlooking Loch Ness, the cloisters and gardens. The bright apartment is decorated in the most luxurious style, combining quality antique and modern furnishings, featuring Victorian pictures, floorboards and vintage lighting sourced from a local chapel and with wonderful attention to detail throughout. The most idyllic place, a far cry from when up to 40 junior boys shared what was one of the original boarding school dormitories, located between the Abbot's chapel and a lovely bell tower.

The bright and airy large living room and open plan kitchen offers the very finest level of comfort including high end designer sofas. The view from the stone mullioned living room window straight up the loch is truly spectacular: a perfect seat to while away the afternoon reading a good novel, or watching for the legendary Loch Ness Monster.
The gorgeous master bedroom features a massive stone mullioned arched window overlooking the Cloister Gardens, the turrets and towers of the Abbey, and the mountains beyond. King-sized antique brass and iron bed, Victorian oak pew, luxurious bed linens, choice of feather or fibre pillows, to ensure total relaxation for the duration of your stay.

Facilities at the abbey include: stunning club lounge including 12 foot billiards table in the former monks refectory, loch side bistro, tennis court, concierge service, fishing rights, etc.
Fort Augustus Village: Voted one of finest villages to visit in Scotland on Trip Advisor- 4.5/5. The village is only a few minutes walk from the abbey, the pretty village shops and cottages run either side of Thomas Telford's famous Caledonian Canal and ladder of 5 locks, perfect for sightseeing, lunch or picnics. The village has two grocery stores, 2 dining pubs, post office, butchers, several gift shops, numerous eateries, the Lovat Arms Hotel for fine dining, tourist information, visitor centre, boat trips, regular bus service, plus a petrol station.
