“A perfect retreat into a peaceful oasis of natural sounds and smells.”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2016

This was totally unexpected pleasure. The whole Pack Creek grounds were nicely managed. The lodge quite was exceptional. Bed was so comfortable and warm blankets. The kitchen was perfect size, grills everywhere. We were glad we could use the one on the big veranda because it was stormy one night. I loved sitting the morning watching the sun come up with a book and my dog - who by the way loved all the grass and the goats. It was convenient from the "city" and so dark and quiet - loved that. Of course this week that we stayed there were not a lot of other people, so we really had a quiet time, but even when someone came or left it was hardly noticed. The agency was great at check out and friendly making sure everything was ok. I don't think there was anything I didn't like - had a little trouble with the thermostat direction, but otherwise all was great. Will definitely come back. Question about one of the sections below - about deposit being returned - I did not appreciate that there was a deposit in my bill. Can you please check and verify as i have not had a return if there was one. Thanks

“Fabulous and comfortable ranch experience.”

I can't say enough good things about this rental. We stayed in the lodge suite -- bed was extremely comfortable, kitchen extremely well stocked and the surroundings were beautiful. It was very, very quiet which we enjoyed as we sat outside in the early morning either reading or sketching. We didn't use pool area but it looked very well maintained. Would definitely sty there again.

“Pack Creek-Lodge Suite”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2015

We stayed for two nights in August and wished we could have stayed longer. About 20 minutes outside of Moab, and at the base of the La Sal mountains, this is a great place to have as a base camp to explore all that the area has to offer. The lodge was very spacious, beautifully decorated and a great place for couples. A little tricky driving there at night, but all in all a fantastic venue. Will definitely return.

“Oasis Getaway”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2015

Pack Creek Ranch was the highlight of our 9 day, 6 state road trip. It was in a beautiful location at the base of the mountains, and truly was a good 10 degrees cooler than town. Once you book, detailed directions are sent to you to get to the ranch. Following the directions, the location was not difficult to get to, but it was helpful that we made a point to arrive to our accommodations while it was still light out so we could familiarize ourselves. The kitchen was fully stocked and after stopping at the grocery store in town, we were able to make breakfast and dinner, and prep lunches for our hikes and offroading activities while in Moab. The bed was quite comfortable, but was very squishy and you definitely sink into it (possibly a Tempur-pedic?). Two bathrooms was a neat luzury we don't have at home. The bathtub was huge and nice to sink into after a long day offroading, and the shower was great as well. We had a really cozy, wonderful, relaxing time at Pack Creek Ranch. Neighboring suites/cabins were close, but gardening/landscaping made the neighbors seem a little further away and increased the feeling of privacy. Moab was our favorite part of our long roadtrip, and we will definitely return and stay in the exact same accommodations. We were very happy and, as an added bonus, felt the price was a great deal! We were a late 20's couple, and would recommend to similar couples, families, groups of friends - anyone!

“Cozy getaway”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2014

Beautiful, cozy cabin both inside and outside! About a 15 minute drive from Moab. Call ahead for directions as it is difficult to find in the dark. The cabin was very comfortable with beautiful furniture and plenty of kitchen utensils to cook. If I go back to Moab, I will stay there again!

“Could Have Been Perfect”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2013

My first put off was upon walking into the property, there was a strong odor of dog - and I have two (not with us). It was a beautifully decorated suite, not a spec of dust. The setting is breathtaking. Magnificent views. It really was lovely, comfy memory-foam bed, wood fireplace (wood supplied). The next oddity - near the bed was a tall wardrobe that was jutting out and blocking a mirror coat rack. When I went to adjust it back into its "cubby" area, I realized it was blocking off a storage space. Because it was a large area, I walked in - it was a cluttered hiding place for laundry, cleaning supplies; also very large closets. I need to know I am alone in a secure place. It was a bit unnerving. One of the two bathrooms had an odd odor with a powerful air freshener plugged in. The fan was covered in plastic. It was too much in a small space and made me sneeze. I unplugged it and placed it in the cabinet. The kitchen had everything you could need, even a bit of coffee and salt & pepper. Separating the kitchen from the other area is just a room divider. The property is really just a big room. We could hear equipment over there but more importantly, it just did not feel secure. Looking around the outside of the property, none of the exterior doors were locked, nor was the pocket door in between the suite and lodge. We had to check to make sure it was vacant before I could sleep. It wasn't very clean - kitchen even had a person bowl on the floor with leftover dog food in it; stacks of personal items. It is someone's home - ok, but not if affects the stay. We locked all the doors and kept in our place. Walking around the property revealed a lot of dog mess, and a dead rat on a sticky trap. The smell in the bathroom was a dead animal in the ventilation fan. We learned from the owner that they'd been troubled with that for months. To me, that is a deal breaker. I couldn't make any other anniversary plans at that point, however, and you could smell it from the bed.

“Quietude, relaxation, beauty”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2013

My husband and I recently celebrated our 30th anniversary and decided to return to Pack Creek Ranch. We had rented a cabin several years earlier, when we had our 3 sons with us, and longed to return. The setting is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The Pack Creek Lodge Suite is beautifully appointed, with a tub built for 2, comfortable rocking chairs, and a great porch and patio area. Watch the sunset from the lovely front porch, then watch the sun rise from the private back patio. Close enough to Moab to enjoy dining out, but with a fully equipped kitchen/BBQ in case you want to capture every peaceful moment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
