“excellent, so charming”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2016

everything was perfect. No noise, so quiet. Lot of various animals. The lodge is very nice and cosy. I strongly recommend that place you cannot be disapointed

“Road House was great”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2016

Everything you needed, great views of LaSal mountains, starry nights to die for, very peaceful and quiet. Pool was refreshing, goats were a riot to watch, great time was had by all. Trip to town was short if the cows would get out of the road. We would highly recommend.

“Great place to stay!”

We loved staying at the Road House at Pack Creek Ranch for three nights. It's a nice distance from Moab and the ride down to it from Moab is pretty. Set in the foothills of the La Sals as it is makes the night sky perfect for viewing and photographing stars. The interior of the cabin is fitted out comfortably with an Ikea kitchen and mostly new furniture. We had one issue with the tub drain and the management company offered to address the issue the next day after we reported it. Since there were two bedrooms, we deferred an immediate fix. The home offered many conveniences, from a well-stocked pantry, condiments in the refrigerator, and a selection of videos. What they lacked was laundry detergent and access to a land line in case of emergency. (Verizon cell phone coverage was spotty there.) I had to purchase the smallest jug of laundry detergent to use and had to leave it there for others to use later -- if they left it available for others! Taking care of that one thing would make my review 5 stars in all categories.

“Perfect Pack Creek”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2015

One of the best places we have ever stayed. The Road House was very well-equipped, spacious and so peaceful. We were very glad we hadn't stayed in Moab, which is on a main road and is quite noisy and busy. The history of the cabin and Edward Abbey is fascinating. We had 5 days at Pack Creek, but could have moved in there permanently! It is slightly away from the other cabins on the Ranch and this also makes it more private. The only minor quibble I have would be that the swimming pool on the main site looked rather neglected and needed cleaning - as it happened, it was not hot enough to want to swim, so this didn't bother us.

“A terrific getaway!”

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in our "little log cabin"! The cabin is well appointed, comfortable, great views of the mountains and quiet, quiet, quiet! The pasture of goats kept us entertained nearby. The setting of cabins could make for a family reunion or such.

“Fabulous!”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2014

We had a fabulous stay! My husband and our 2 college students stayed for 2 nights. The location was off the beaten path in the foothills about 10-15 minutes from downtown Moab. Beautiful sunsets and breezy evenings. The owners stopped in to make sure all our needs met. We can't wait to go back!

“Great Place”

A different lodging arrangement, for sure, but we loved it. The cabin was well appointed and comfortable, and the setting was gorgeous. Our favorite part, however, was having a temporary goat farm at our back porch and Boy (the ranch dog) deciding to join us on our morning runs.
