Beautiful kitchen with granite countertops, tile floors, double oven and 2 dishwashers. Kitchen overlooks the sound for spectacular sunsets over the water! A romantic, secluded private pier with gazebo and hot tub will be a hit with everyone in the group. The hot tub is actually in the gazebo, and offers an amazing place to watch a sunset, or have a cocktail after a day in the sun. The pier overlooks a private mooring for sailboat or kayak, and it's perfect for throwing out a line, or crabbing with the kids! This property is one of the closest properties to the water in the area, with spectacular waterfront views. Located in Monteray Shores community in the Corolla, this property is close to the community pool, fitness center, and tennis courts.

Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

Gentle Winds is a very popular property in Corolla that has enjoyed a repeat clientele for years. Your experience with this house is not what others have reported and we regret that. The house is located directly on the soundside of the Outer Banks. An effect of being on the sound is that bugs are attracted to the lights and if caution and awareness is not used it is a constant battle to keep the decks, furniture and porches cleaned. Since your stay the maintenance issues you identified have been reconciled, and the owner has been made aware of your feelings as well. The homeowner just did a significant renovation to the property last year which added a beautiful master bathroom and bedroom to the top floor of the house and expanded the kitchen area too. We hope you return to Gentle Winds and give it another chance. All the best from the beach!
