You are in one of the most beautiful places of Italy, in the Euganean Hills, which are now protected as a national park, in a strategic position, not so far from Venice, Verona, Vicenza and a few kilometres from Padua, quite close to the gem of the Euganean Hills, Arquà Petrarca, and close to medieval walled towns such as Monselice, Este and Montagnana, and spa-towns like Abano Terme and Montegrotto Terme.
The area offers a great deal to see and visit: villas, castles, churches, museums and architectural attractions, splendid views and places with old tastes and traditions.

ARQUA' PETRARCA, thanks to its favourable position is considered the gem of the Euganean Hill. It knows a fast growth under the Paduan noble family the Carraresi and the Venetian domination. Its name probably comes from Arquata montium, meaning “ring of mountains”. It's the place where the famous poet Francesco Petrarca (Petrarch) spent the last summers of his life and died in 1374, whence the town's name. The village centre which has maintained the old charm of the medieval hamlet, there you can admire ancient buildings and churches such as Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta and the Oratorio della Santissima Trinità both with interesting fresco fragments. Not to be missed the house of the poet and Petrarch's sarcophagus.

Outside, a large patio and y furnished with teak furniture to enjoy a rich breakfast outside! On the first floor there are 150 square meters, fully furnished with valuable antiques, for up to 6 people. Two double bedrooms, large bathroom with tub and double sink, large living room with fireplace, living room with reading corner, kitchen wifi and much more . relax in the reading room.

“Fantastic Place to Stay”

We stayed for one week and enjoyed wonderful days. It was a country side place nice and silent. You have a small garden and you life for xour own.
