“Great time had by all”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2014

We had a week at bridge end in October with family and friends, We had a great time. We loved the cottage it had every thing we needed, even the dogs felt at home. We certainly would book again.

“Breathteaking view, cosy house, perfect place for tours, but no”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2013

Bridge End 1 has ample space for six people, wonderfully and tastefully furnished rooms, and the most magnificent view out of the bay window of the living room. Hiking tours can be started right from the property, and still there is no car needed for grocery shopping - the "center" of Grassington is only a five minutes' walk away. Backdraws: The room in the basement felt a bit damp, so we did not use it (and we did not need to - there were enough beds for the six of us upstairs). And the traffic across the bridge that gave the house its name is a little bit loud, but the cars' noise mixes up with the very soothing rushing of the river.

“The perfect house in Thew perfect position”

We had a faboulous week in 1 Bridge End - the photos did not prepare us for the wonderful location just yards from the riverbank. Great for walking and ideal for our dog - we all loved the summerhouse where early evening sundowners were enjoyed looking over the flowing river. The owners have equipped this house to the highest standard and have provided every possible home comfort which, together with the ease of walking into Grassington so easily, makes this a house we will definitely retrun to

The house is lovely, although a little chilly in the extreme weather we had in January. The location is perfect for walking into the village( 5 min walk) There are some lovely walks down by the river and the view are stunning from the houe. I would love to return and experience the house in the summer months.

“A very comfortable cottage in a lovely location.”

There are beautiful river views from the lounge, with great walks from the door of the cottage. The garden, which overlooks the river, is very pleasant. The cottage is very well equipped. The owners are most helpful. They gave us ideas of where to eat out in the locality, and places of interest to visit. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we have booked to return in 2010.

“Wet but wonderful week”

Reviewed 17 Dec 2009

The cottage was great - really nicely furnished with everything we needed - and in a great location. The kids loved taking the dog down to the river and walking in to the village to go the sweetshop (just like childhood should be). We could walk for miles from the house (found a great book on the internet 'Yorkshire Dale Pub in the middle circular walks) and found great places for lunch. It rained heavily every day but we had a super time. Only disadvantage was the garden is not enclosed and the house is next to wuite a busy road but the house and location make up for this and we just made sure the dog was controlled.

“Delightful cottage in a wonderful location”

Delightful cottage with excellent facilities and fantastic walks from the door. I would certainly rent this cottage out again.
