Description

This detached pet-friendly cottage near Hovingham sleeps two people in one bedroom.Stable Cottage is a detached, single-storey pet-friendly cottage on the owners' rural arable farm, three miles from Hovingham village. The cottage has a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.Outside is off road parking for two cars, and a patio with furniture. From Stable Cottage, good walking and cycling can be enjoyed, as can day trips to market towns such as Pickering, Malton and Helmsley, or the historic city of York.

Amenities: Gas underfloor heating. Electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, radio, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen, towels and dressing gowns inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Small patio with furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 3 miles. Hovingham 1 mile walk/cycle along the Ebor Way. Note: Property is accessed by a 0.75 mile farm track. Note: Children not accepted at this property.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: Set amidst the beautiful countryside of the Howardian Hills, the pretty North Yorkshire village of Hovingham is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village itself is incredibly picturesque, with a beck running down the high street, two excellent inns and a traditional village shop as well as a tea-room and a bakery. There are numerous excellent walking and cycling opportunities surrounding the village, as well as easy access to the beautiful National Park. The area is also renowned for its excellent bird watching opportunities. The stately home and gardens of Castle Howard are just four miles away, whilst the market towns of Malton and Helmsley are only eight miles away and are great places to visit. The historic city of York and the East Coast are slightly further afield but are still within driving distance.

“Beautiful area and lovely cottage”

We had a fantastic time, there are lots of places to visit nearby and the owners gave lots of local information. There is free Wifi in the courtyard which I found very useful for quick internet useage… More
