“Family Vacation”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2015

Very nice. Clean, clean clean. Everything worked. Would stay there again any chance we would get. The river drowns out most all noises which with the cool nights in the summer makes for great relaxing and sleeping.

“Close to the water, close to the fish!”

Reviewed 11 Oct 2013

Though the cabin was small, it had all the amenities we needed, was immaculately clean, and offered 'location, location, location'. The fish could practically jump right onto our porch. And should we have forgotten anything of importance for our fishing adventure, the fly shop was more than helpful, as well as supplying tons of advice and expertise. For those in the group not rabid fisherman by nature, there was the proximity to adorable boutiques in Gunnison, amazing art galleries in Crested Butte, fine food in Gunnison, grocerie and sporting goods in Gunnison, and fabulous hiking and sight-seeing all around. Definitely the place to be. Love it.

“Comfortable, Enjoyable and Organized”

The accommodations, people, facilities and wide array of activities was outstanding.

“Nice accommodation and fun for the kids.”

Our cabin seemed brand new... everything was immaculate and clean which is important to us with two young children that like to play on the floor and still put hands in their mouths all the time. It was small but had all we needed and was plenty of room for the four of us. Our children loved the loft... it was like their own private play fort. Kitchen was stocked well with what seemed to be new dishes and pans. Three things the resort could improve on: 1.) I would recommend they add salt and pepper shakers to the cabins. We brought groceries of all sorts so didn't require anything but basic spices. Most rentals have a salt and pepper shaker. 2.) There is a store on the premises but things are very pricey. We wanted to grill hamburgers one evening and needed charcoal so we bought the smallest bag they offered and it was $10 (that was more than the cost of our meal)! Unfortunately, the coals would not ignite and we realized they required lighter fluid but we didn't want to pay another $10 for it so we just fried our hamburger patties on the stove. 3.) While our cabin was located in front of the river, we had to walk through the next cabin's yard to access it because the brush has grown up so much in front of our cabin. I felt like we were infringing on their property while we accessed the river, so it was a little awkward. Also, our grill was literally directly underneath the thick brush so when we tried to get the coals lit to grill the flame was touching the branches of the brush. Seems like some simple pruning would solve these problems. I would recommend this resort but just be sure you have absolutely everything you think you need before arriving.

“Perfect vacation spot!”

This unit had everything my husband and I needed! The location is great, right beside the Taylor River, away from campers and traffic. We enjoyed the large, covered outdoor deck, and the furnishings were modern and well-maintained. The bedroom is small but we only used it at bedtime. We didn't use the loft, but saw it would be good for small children. The kitchen was fully equipped with nice dishes & glassware, utensils and cookware. Even wine glasses and steak knifes. We were only able to book for 3 nights, but wished it could have been longer! 3 Rivers is just the right distance away from Gunnison, and not far to Crested Butte. We explored all around the area, but would have enjoyed staying right at the Resort the entire time. Fishing outside our door and a few miles away at the fish hatchery pond was fun (catch & release only). Others might enjoy rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, or mountain biking.

“Three Rivers Resort is awesome!”

We had a great stay in Cabin 59 - Theo's Bomber! The location was perfect as it is very convenient to access Taylor Reservoir, Crested Butte, and Gunnison. The best part was fishing off the banks of the beautiful Taylor River located twenty feet from our cabin porch. The Three Rivers Resort facility has all the necessary amenities including a general store, bait / tackle shop, laundromat, and the scrumptious Three Rivers Smokehouse. The staff did an excellent job and was very accommodating. I would highly recommend a rafting and fishing trip at Three Rivers. Our guide was very patient in teaching our young boys how to trout fish. They made us feel like part of the Three Rivers Resort extended family. We cannot wait to return next summer!

“Beautiful area. . beautiful cabin right on the river!”

Brought my family for two night and we had an amazing time! My kids 7 and 5 played around in the river, took mini-hikes and just had an awesome kicked-back vacation. We will for sure come back next summer! The service at the office/store was excellent and helpful and the restaurant was delicious (ribs were the best ever!)

“Labor Day in almont”

We found the cabin to be an excellent facility. The entire Three Rivers Resort has all the features we are looking for. Great Location, FlyShop, Restarant, and friendly staff.

“A Return Customer”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2011

I stayed at the resort the last week in July and I couldn't have found a nicer place. Cabin 59 was exceptionally clean, comfortable and the location on the river was perfect. I have been to the Gunnison/Almont area quite a few times. This last stay was definately the best. Our group of riders plan on staying again next summer and I'll reserve cabin 59 again. Thanks so much for the great time and hospitality.

Had a great time. Actually me and my family have stayed there the last 9 yrs. We usually rent about 5 or 6 cabins to accommdate all of us. Have never had a problem or bad experience and will probably keep going every year. The cabins are clean and the service is great
