“just what we wanted”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2015

This chalet was perfect...everything about it. This was a very clean, well-maintained cabin equipped with everything we needed. We were right next to the Taylor River and the sounds were so relaxing. The area was booked but we felt like we had it all to ourselves. The smokehouse a few feet away was an added bonus. Everything we ate there was delicious. We are planning another get-away in that cabin very soon!

“We love it”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2014

We love Three Rivers and we love the one bedrooms with a loft. Just the right size and right on the river. You can fall asleep to it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is so much to do and see around this part of the world and most of the folks there with whom I have spoken are locals and know what to do and how to do it.

“Friendly and fun”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2013

We have never stayed at a place with a staff as helpful and friendly as the Three Rivers Resort. Our cabin was right on the river with access to the river. We have children ages 8, 11, and 18 and they had a blast. The on site smokehouse was very nice to have if you dont want to cook a meal, even though we cooked almost every night. The cabin itself had all the accomodations we would expect for a resort like this. Rugged but comfortable. You can hear the river at night, with the windows open, putting you to sleep. My husband and I walked over to drink some margaritas the last two nights we were there. We stayed an hour after they were closed and ,Lindsey, our bartender didnt mind a bit. She was very accommodating and made excellent margaritas. The river people at the front desk, making rafting reservations, were extremely informative and helped us out with our two rafting trips we did. One trip was a class III, upper extended Taylor white water trip, the other was just a float and dine to Garlic Mikes down the Gunnison. Our guides were Paul and Steve, both were a lot of fun! Remember if you go rafting its not a ride at Walt Disney world, anything can happen and it's very unpredictable, that's why we like it tho. However, please choose Three Rivers only as your river outfitter they were the best at what they do. Scenic River Tours, down the road, are not as knowledgeable on the rivers and you will have more issues using them as your guides! If you have never rafted you may not understand why it's important to choose the safest company. The day we left we were very sad that our trip was ending, but because of our positive experience with this resort we will defensively be back!

“great place for R”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2012

One of the best assets is the people that work there. Always friendly and helpful. The restaurant has excellent food and and great prices. The cabin although small is nice, clean and full of everything u need for long term staying.

“Perfect Location”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2011

It would be tough to find a better location to spend some time in the Colorado rockies. The Taylor river is just feet from the porch and the fishing in the area is excellent. The cabin itself was clean and served us well. The loft works best for kids but we had two adults who slept there comfortably. The only complaint was that the couch cushions were completely crushed, making it an uncomfortable place to sit for extended periods. The resort staff met all of our needs, and the on-site restaurant was great. All in all, a great place to stay and we'll be back.

“3 Rivers Vacation”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2011

We stayed near the river. My husband & son fished and I went to Crested Butte for shopping. Very quite and clean cabin. Loved all the amenities of the cabin.

“Outstanding”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2011

The 1 bedroom unit we rented was, in 1 word, perfect! We feel it was a bit pricey, as there is no pool and the river is to cold for swimming. The location of the resort is ideal, far enough away from town for peace, yet close enough to fetch anything needed.

“Great place to stay in Colorado”

Reviewed 15 Jun 2011

Very good. only thing needing improvement is the sofa. I know it is hide-a-bed, but very uncomfortable to sit on, the middle cushion sinks way down, and the end cushions have you sitting at angle. Otherwise, great stay!

“Great family reunion site”

Reviewed 25 Oct 2009

The room size is very tight, but adequate. It meets the needs of a family on an active vacation. Every thing was clean and comfortable. Being near the river was very nice. We had a great family reunion at the resort. There were lots of cabin choices to meet the various family needs.

“Good fishing and friends”

Reviewed 29 Sep 2009

I like being on the water. The kitchen and the family room area were fine, the bedroom and bathroom are too small for someone my size. I also didn't like the fact that there wasn't coffee packets in the room or shampoo. I stay in hotels about 200 nights a year and am used to those things. Maybe I was told there were no amenities but I still think there should be. But the room was open Friday night when I got there around 10 pm and I was able to fish Saturday morning and go to Homecoming so everything I came out there to do, I did! Plus I am friends with Mark and Bruce Eggers who lives across the highway in East River so it was convenient for seeing them too.
