Response from the owner Hello Ann - many thanks for your review, may I say that cottage was left nice and warm with a lovely welcome basket of local produce on your arrival. The electricity meter was explained to you on booking and we advised that cost might be between £ 20-45 for heating, lights and cooking which most guests find acceptable. You actually spent £ 22 only which is on the low side and when out it is always adviseable to have the one radiator in main corridor on low/medium heat to air the cottage. I am sorry to hear that you are the first person to find the paying for electricity an issue particularly that I offered to reimburse you 50% of what you spent which I understood to be much more than the £ 22 /week. Perhaps a summer stay would be more adequate, helas we cannot guarantee the hot weather in summer ... with best wishes Walter
