Description from manager
“Perfection” is not an easy thing to achieve. Yet, if the perfect view of the Rocky Mountains in Rocky Mountain National Park is what you seek, you would be hard pressed to top the one you will find at the Stevenson vacation rental home in Estes Park, Colorado. Stevenson is one amongst the remarkable collection of mountain homes that adorn the prestigious Windcliff Estates, and will comfortably house up to 8 guests in its 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom living space. It's a perfect base of operations from which to experience the numerous mountain peaks and views.
The Experience at the Stevenson Vacation Rental Home
The living room is wondrously bright as its picture windows invite the mountains inside in all their glory. Sit awhile. Chat. Plan your excursions into the National Park, which beckons you to experience your next adventure. Set a fire in the grate. Read, enjoy some Blu-Ray, or play a game. Or, settle down on the west deck, where the view you'll take in will be something you remember for a lifetime. This deck extends the entire width of the western façade of the home, with great wooden rocking chairs swaying gently in the mountain breeze. Staying at Stevenson on your Estes Park vacation is a comfortable and luxurious experience in a home full of personality and charm.
The Kitchen and Dining at Stevenson
The kitchen — with a multi-million dollar view of its own — is primed with every essential implement and amenity necessary to prepare a snack or a sumptuous feast. The dining area is “European Café” in style and waiting to be set with fine Gibson china. The tall red wine goblets arrayed in the side cupboards await a pour of Colorado's finest. Outdoor dining is available (and highly desirable) out on the spacious deck, which is also equipped with a gas grill.
Lodging and Rest at Stevenson
A king master suite with a private sitting area drenched in mountain views and deck access rounds out the top floor. Downstairs, you will find additional living space in the elegant queen bedroom suite and the cheerful triple twin bedroom that's perfect for younger guests. The family room (again, featuring fantastic views!) sports a large-screen TV and games for the more digital variety of entertainment as well as daybed seating with trundles.
The Hot Tub Patio at the Stevenson Estes Park Rental Home
It is here, too, that you find access to the sprawling outdoor hot tub patio. In every season the hot tub is a welcome respite after a day of hiking or horseback riding in the National Park. In the days of winter, it is a perfect sanctuary on the cusp of a cold night as the stars shine overhead with an intensity unknown elsewhere — or a gentle snowfall tickles your nose.

You don’t think the views could be as good as the pictures but they actually are. I was wary about the decor being outdated but we didn’t care at all once there. It was cozy and very accom… More
Response from the manager We try so hard to capture the incredible beauty of the mountains that you see from every home, but we feel the same way - you just can't do it justice! Thank you so much for the kind words, and we can't wait to see you again in the future! Windcliff Staff
“Great house with a wonderful view.”
This was a great house. We loved the view. It is only a 100 feet from Rocky Mountain National Park. There is a great trail that starts at the end of the next house. It is at the far end of the entranc… More

The home was perfect for our group, 6 adults and one infant. Felt secluded but just a short drive to downtown Estes. Windcliff was fantastic to work with and even gave me a refund since we had one les… More
Great property. Quiet and beautiful views. Saw lots of wildlife, and had everything we needed. Wish the beds were softer, but otherwise really great house.
The Stevenson is a very outdated home and needs some improvements!! We had friends and family stay at other properties on Windcliff that were a lot nicer than ours! My suggestion is if you don't … More
Response from the manager The Stevenson is indeed one of our legacy family cabins as described and depicted in both the description and photographs. Reading other reviews, you'll find the vast majority of renters rating it very highly given its amazing views and Ethen Allen furnishings and traditional sensibilities. Yes, some of the other properties we manage at Windcliff are newer and more modern in decor. Upon visiting some of those other homes, I see now the guest perhaps experienced some renter's remorse. Mea culpa. As the management team responsible, we will recommit to encouraging all guests spend a little more time consulting with Windcliff staff, asking about our homes and studying the website photos and descriptions closely before making their final reservation choice(s). No home is misrepresented at Windcliff.com. Guests find a wide range of homes and prices but all our homes are mechanically sound and meet our personal (my staff inspects every home - no 3rd parties are involved) and stringent inspection criteria prior to each and every guest check-in. We regret this home wasn't where this guest would have preferred to stay. We should have vetted this better during booking and knowing the importance of updated design, perhaps guided the guest to a higher priced property at Windcliff that better matched her preferences. Our apologies. We will strive to continue to improve in this important "matchmaking" role to ensure each guest stays in the best possible home given their budget, availability and preferences.

What can I say except we would do it again! Great view of the mountains, wildlife, private, comfortable with easy excess to town.
“Stevenson House Windcliff”
Nice house, owned by a clearly nice family. Fabulous views. Plenty of TV's and beds. Works well. Feels a little cluttered and could use a décor update, but works very well.
My wife and I hosted our children foa the week in the Rocky Mountains. Five adults total. The property had plenty of room. It was out of town and away from the crowds of Estes Park. The view is sp… More
