“Home away from Home”
My family and our doggie loved our stay at the cottage! Very clean and location was great! I loved the peacefulness in the early morning while sitting on the deck enjoying my coffee. Thank you for making our stay so easy and comfortable! Hope to return next year.
“A RELAXING NEW YEAR START”
My stay at the Cabin at Honeyridge was much needed. It's clean, comfortable and the jacuzzi was great!
Fantastic stay! Pet friendly, military discount, super nice owners, 5-stars, without a doubt. Absolutely no cell service or wifi, but that's exactly what we were hoping for!
Response from the owner I'm glad I had a chance to meet you both (all 4, actually). We'd love to have you stay with us again. Thanks for taking such good care of the cottage! Beth
“Clean, comfortable and pleasent.”
I lost one of my keys and had trouble getting into the cabin. I had to get ahold of Beth to let me in the cabin and instead of being put off she was very gracious and helpful (she even gave me some fresh eggs)! Thank you Beth!
“Honey Ridge Perfection!”
My husband, pug, and I spent three days at Honey Ridge. Our experience was perfect. The cottage is beautifully constructed, immaculate, and attractive. The setting is high up in the trees for a lovely view. Honey Ridge is appointed with menus, sightseeing suggestions, and maps. The kitchen is fully equipped including spices, coffee, and paper supplies. There are many other amenities, too numerous to list. The owners Beth and Mike are congenial and invisible. This is a very pretty cheery cottage. We were so pleased to have found it online.
Response from the owner If you loved your stay, then we've achieved our goal! Your guest book entry was thoughtful and made us smile, and we thank you for taking the time to enter this review on FlipKey, also. It was wonderful having you stay with us and we truly hope to see you (and Gracie) again. Best wishes, Beth
I came to Honey Ridge looking for peace and quiet and the opportunity to decompress from my high pressure life at home. My stay was EVERYTHING I needed! The beautiful, quiet cabin was immaculate. Everything about it was geared to giving me the peaceful retreat I needed so badly. I sat on the wonderful deck and stared out into the tree tops, and truly felt as though I was in a treehouse, watching the birds, critters and trees waving softly in the breeze. The gas-fired fireplace was warm and cozy and touring the cave sites sites healed my soul. I wished I could have spent more than 4 days there, I could have happily spent a month, but even that short respite was healing. I recommend this wonderful place to anyone who is looking for peace, quiet and retreat! The Marouseks are wonderful hosts, and you won't be the least bit disappointed!
“Beautiful Place and nice area”
We really loved staying at Honey Ridge. We came in for Parent's Weekend at Ohio University where our daughter is going to school. Many of the surrounding cabins had questionable reviews so I was nervous but when we arrived we were very pleased with the cabin and area! We will definitely be returning in the future and highly recommend this place! Only things I would recommend would be the availability of wifi, as the surrounding area has no phone service so you can't even text until you drive about 5 miles up the road. So maybe some type of service with the dish network would be good. Also, maybe a slight bigger TV. I know that TV isn't a main concern when out there, but it was nice to relax in the evening after we came in from our smores and campfire with the dogs. They loved it there and we are definitely going back and maybe make it a vacation weekend with us and family! Thanks Beth and Chuck for a great time!!
“Great location, great accomodations, would definitely come again!”
The cabin is in a perfect location to be able to get to any of the local attractions, while being far away enough from the "vacation cabin" areas. Nice quiet street with lots of surrounding woods. The cabin was immaculate. It had all of the accomodations you need such as towels, coffee, dinnerware, etc. It was very clean and organized. We chose this cabin based off of their pet policy which is great too! We took our 2 lab mix dogs with us and they loved going hiking on the trails. Just FYI though, dogs ARE NOT ALLOWED in any of the bodies of water in the parks. This was a little disappointing because we were looking forward to taking our dogs swimming. The only reason I gave this cabin a 4/5 is because the beds are very uncomfortable. I have a bad back and I was woken up every morning by very bad back pain. Otherwise this cabin was perfect for us and we will definitely be coming back!
Response from the owner Thanks, you were great guests and we do hope to have you stay with us again. I understand about mattresses, there are so many different kinds. The two we have are identical, so it occurred to me that I should replace one with a different firmness, so our guests will have a choice. Thanks for the notice. Beth
Had a wonderful time. The dogs really enjoyed being able to come with the family. I just wish there were grab rails in the tub/jacuzzi for us older guests.
Response from the owner Our dogs are part of our family, and I love that our guests enjoy bringing their dogs on vacation, too. I am so glad you mentioned the grab rails, I agree they need to be installed and they will be. Beth
“Peaceful relaxing quality time”
Every thing was great , beds comfortable and location perfect. Loved their pet policy my baby Sheru enjoyed . just fan needed cleaning and bath tub was not designing well.
Response from the owner Thanks for taking the time to write your review. We are happy to know that you and your family, including Sheru, enjoyed the cabin. Our fall maintenance and cleaning is coming up, and it includes the overhead fan. Please let me know what problem you had with the Jacuzzi. We would like to take care of it. Our guests' feedback is very helpful to us. Thanks. Beth
