Sundown cottage boasts one of the most spectacular views in the Hebrides - a 40 mile vista of natural lochs & hills. A Scandinavian designed building with all three bedrooms en-suite, a solid wood burning stove and stylish interior decor, facilitated to the highest standard. Located 10 minutes from the main town of Stornoway, also within 15 minutes of the famous Callanish Stones.
Sundown is pet & family friendly. Given its location, it is well suited to those interested in nature & the outdoors; bird watchers, walkers, fishermen, surfers, etc. Also offering peace & tranquility for individuals simply wanting away from it all.
The Island of Lewis has been voted as one of the Europe's best Island destinations. Whether for Romantic break, family fun or catching up with friends Sundown Cottage will provide an unforgettable experience.
The cottage is fully refurbished for 2018 with quality & tasteful décor adding to the cosy ambiance and all that is needed to make the perfect holiday.
The view is 'quite exceptional' in all directions and a fabulous base to tour Lewis and Harris, being 10 minutes from Stornoway and central for travel.

“Lovely cottage with gorgeous views”
Sundown cottage is an ideal place to stay when visiting Lewis and Harris, especially if it is your first time. The location is excellent as you have the convenience of Stornoway nearby but are surrounded by stunning ever changing views. It is centrally located so easy to visit all parts of the Island. The house itself is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is small but is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Having three en-suites is a definite bonus and there was always plenty of hot water. The beds were very comfortable and there was a good choice of pillows! Christine was the perfect hostess, welcoming, informative, helpful and easy to contact if you had a query. Sundown cottage really is the perfect place to stay!

“Sundown success”
Christine has a fantastic lodge and couldn’t have been more welcoming. Great relaxing location, close enough to amenities and cultural sites. Lodge is perfect and so well kitted out - everything that you could need. Throughly recommend
