Self catering holiday cottage on a tranquil smallholding near the coast at Aberystwyth. We take pride in the fact that our cottages are comfortable, spacious, stylish and clean and we look forward to offering you a warm Welsh welcome. Set in a delightful natural location with a stream and overlooking lush meadows. The Cambrian Mountains and unspoiled river valleys are only a short drive away or why not enjoy a trip on a narrow gauge railway instead. Activities such as horse riding, cycling, swimming, sailing, walking, golf and fishing are all available on the doorstep.

Spacious modern Lounge/Dining with 2 large patio doors overlooking paved patio and countryside. Kitchen is fully fitted. Large twin bedded (or linked for Super-king) bedroom overlooks patio and open countryside.

Patio areas to the North for shade and to the South and West for sunning are all paved. The sea can be viewed from the gate through the lush meadow and visitors are welcome to enjoy the surrounding areas of the small holding. In particular strolling the covered lane along the stream is a delight not to be missed.

“Beautiful place to stay.”
We had a fantastic holiday here. Myself, my wife, teenage son and two Yorkies will definitely return here. The cottage is spacious, spotlessly clean, the furnishings are extremely comfortable. Everything you could possibly need is there. A lot of thought has gone into making this a truly enjoyable & peaceful place to stay, my only regret is that we didn’t book to stay longer.

“Wonderful break”
What a wonderful find. Our hosts Marilyn and Ifor made our stay so comfortable. Wonderful setting, but not too far from the town. Best of both worlds! I only wished we could have stayed longer. “Beautiful cottage in peaceful surroundings”
I stayed here for three nights and loved Derwen Cottage! It's very well equipped and comfortable, with great wifi. Although it's only a few minutes' drive from Aberystwyth the house is surrounded by hills and fields and it's so peaceful. Marilyn could not have been more helpful and friendly, and I'd love to go back.

“First class accommodation, secluded and picturesque rural setting.”
Doleos holiday cottage is ideal in every sense for a get-away-from-it-all stay. The accommodation is very spacious, modern, extremely comfortable, scrupulously clean, with all household amenities. The setting is idyllic, with hillside views, and a fast running stream near-by. Within a short drive Mid-Wales beckons, offering coastal towns, beaches, cliff top walks, mountain and countryside walks, waterfalls, castles, and so much more.

“Stunning views and peaceful stay”
We had a lovely stay. The dog-friendly cottage was well equipped with super comfortable sofas and bed. The views from the living room and bedroom windows of sprawling countryside were stunning, with sheep and cows roaming the fields and beautiful greenery. You really get a sense of getting back to nature. It was so tranquil with the sound of the river nearby. You nearly forget you’re about 10 minutes drive from Aberystwyth town centre. Our hostess, Marilyn, was very friendly and welcomed us with a few treats. The check-in and check-out were seamless. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a few days country retreat.

“Perfect pet friendly retreat.”
We had a lovely time. All the rooms were large,bright and airy with great views of the meadow. The garden was very neat and dog safe complete with bbq. The Cottage was very well equipped and immaculately clean. Marilyn (the owner) gave us a lovely welcome and also provided some goodies. A lovely peaceful retreat but with a short hop to Aberystwyth if required.
