Secluded stone 18th century cottage in the grounds of a Cathar chateau. The house has an independant entrance, large private garden, access to a tree-lined passage leading to a picturesque stream. Completely renovated, furnished and decorated with taste, mixing authentic charm and contemporary art. It houses up to 8 people in 10 rooms, distributed over 160 m²; 4 double bedrooms, 1 en-suite, 1 main bathroom, 2 separate toilets, heating throughout, fully equipped kitchen, dining hall, and drawing room with antique fireplace, separate garage, WIFI,TV. Housecleaning and gardening are included in the price of rent. Linens and towels are supplied. Located beween Toulouse (45min), and Carcasonne (40 min), 6 mn from the quaint village of Belpech with all basic facilities, 12 min from the medieval city of Mirepoix, 45 min from ski resorts and an hour from the Mediteranean sea. 3 * Clévacances and Label Pays Cathare.

Optional use of the chateau swimming pool depending on availability (250 euros per week)

“Beautiful cottage in great surroundings”

We were lucky enough to stay for five weeks in the cottage at Plaigne in the grounds of the Chateau La Commanderie. The cottage is well appointed with large bedrooms and comfortable living areas. The owner is wonderful, very helpful and knowledgable about the area. Rebecca provided us with great recommendations for sight seeing as well as restaurants in Mirepoix and Mazeres. A wonderful home from home that we shared with frioends from NZ and the UK. Coming from NZ we have to rely on the internet, trip advisor and information from the owners about properties in Europe. We were not disappointed with this one and would recommend others to stay here in this peaceful cottage.
