Fantastic and spacious 1800 square ft condo with three bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen, air conditioning, and balcony overlooking your private sandy beach just a few feet away from the brilliant turquoise waters of the Caribbean! Sleeps up to eight on one king, two queens and one queen sized sleeper sofa in living room. It boasts breathtaking views of the sea and reef from your balcony, as well as a private pool with covered gazebo/bar area, and a private pier!

Amenities include fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans, cable TV, high speed wireless internet access, Italian tiled floors throughout. We've got bikes to get you in and out of San Pedro, and kayaks in which to explore the waters. Hammocks and lounge chairs hand-carved from the local water resistant hardwood abound the property.

*Please note that we are in the process of changing out our laundry machines to industrial quality. In the interim our concierge's wife, Crystal, can do a load for $15US. Please ask Juan Carlos.

Most visitors to Ambergris Caye are lured there by the water. This is no surprise! Belize is home to the largest barrier reef in the western hemisphere and therefore most people come to take advantage of the superior diving and snorkeling sites found close by - the Blue Hole, Hol Chan Reserve, Mexico Rocks and more. Sunset Beach is fortunate to have an excellent guiding service located directly behind the condominium complex who can take you on any type of adventure you desire!

Swimming and snorkeling from the end of our pier is really good. We have a ladder to get you in and out of the water and buoys to mark areas designated for swimming. We have created an artificial reef by filling under the dock with lots of rocks. The fish love this area and sometimes even the harmless nurse sharks come around to feed on the small fish. There is a nice area called “Secret Beach” about an hour away by golf cart that is excellent for swimming - the best on the island!

Getting around

Most people rent a golf cart for their stay on the island. Cars are only allowed by Belize nationals to use. However, most Belizeans use golf carts also. Our concierge, Juan Carlos, can arrange a rental for you and have one waiting at the complex when you arrive. We also have numerous adult and kid bikes with locks for your use. This is a great way to get in and out of San Pedro and to explore the island. A taxi will cost about $10US/taxi to get to San Pedro, 2.34 miles/3.8 km away.

Interaction with guest

Once you arrive, our inimitable concierge, Alvin Contreras, will meet you and escort you to your condo with your keys. He will also give you an orientation to Sunset Beach including local dinning and grocery shopping, inform you of possible trips, activities, golf cart rentals and reservations as needed. He is a terrific resource and will be available to arrange tours and answer any questions or concerns you have.

House rules

Please treat the studio as you would your own home. Los Balcones is a family friendly place. Under no circumstances can more persons than have booked stay here. We do encourage events such as weddings on the beach and receptions with adequate advance notice. Guests must be considerate of the other guests occupying apartments. Quiet time 10pm.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
