Description

A Cowboy's Riverfront Retreat's welcomes up to 6 guest, with 1 king, 1 Queen & a Queen futon. Quaint private bath with shower, private deck overlooking river with BBQ, dry sauna & horse facilities. Extensive western library/artifacts from the authentic lifestyle of a western and wildlife sculptor.

The Space

It is the former sculpting studio and creative space of the famed artist J. Shirly Bothum. His life size sculpture "Tracking the Intruders" of an Indian brave and wolf/dog is among the most popular on Main Street. It has river frontage yet is 2 minutes from Main Street and 6 minutes from the foot of Wallowa Lake. Wallowa Lake offers fishing, go carts, mini golf, bumper boats, horseback riding and so much more.

Guest Access

Grill on the deck overlooking the river, sip wine and gaze at the beautiful Wallowa Mountains as deer and wildlife waltz in and out of view.

Interaction with Guests

As little or as much as the individual guest like. I try to leave them be but am often asked over for dinner which lead to delightful visits and "regulars".

The Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is the whole community of Joseph, Oregon and or Wallowa County. A unique valley comprised of the oldest Farmers and Ranchers, Native Americans, Celebrated Artist and genuine all around characters.

Getting around

There is no public transit but I offer complimentary shuttle service to and from our airport for guest with private aircraft. Seeing all of Main Street or downtown is easily a truly enjoyable walking tour.

We are passionate about being a NON SMOKING FACILITY. And there is an additional fee $10.00 per pet.

House rules

no cats due to allergies. dogs w crates please and can not be on furniture or bedding if you want your damage deposit back (all linens have to be dry cleaned for future guests) pets are an additional $10 per pet per night. I am required to collect the city & county lodging tax prior to check out which is 9% of total rate.
