Description
The Cottage at Woodbank is set in the beautiful grounds of our unique Grade 2 listed Georgian cottage, Woodbank. Woodbank was built in the 1790s as the Drawing Office for the world famous engineer Thomas Telford as he constructed the nearby Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Llangollen Canal.
Recently tastefully converted, the detached two bedroom holiday cottage offers delightful accommodation and an outside patio area, barbeque and covered parking. The Cottage is ideal for couples and young families and has a double and a twin bedroom. The Cottage is dog friendly
The Cottage at Woodbank enjoys complete privacy from the main house and is situated in a peaceful, rural position. It is within two minutes walk of the World Heritage Aqueduct, the Trevor Canal Basin and the village of Trevor. Just three miles away lies the picturesque town of Llangollen which spans the river Dee. Llangollen hosts the annual international Eisteddfod and is a popular tourist destination with wonderful walks in the Welsh Hills, canal cruises, the steam railway and numerous outdoor activities.

“Fabulous”
Lovely cottage, perfectly situated for visiting lots of places nearby. The cottage was tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. It is extremely clean and cosy with very comfortable beds. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and I would have no hesitation recommending to anyone. My young granddaughter had a wonderful time playing in the play area and loved the fort.

“Lovely cottage”
Just returned from a very relaxing few days at this delightful cottage. The setting is beautiful & is a perfect base. A few seconds to the canal & many walks or cycle rides on tap. Had a nice meal at the Telford inn less than ten minutes walk away. Pontycylltte aqueduct very close by, walk across and view the spectacular scenery. Chirk worth a visit and obviously lovely Llangollen not far away with many things to do there. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. Owners very friendly and helpful. A great place to chill and walk locally, leave the car! or lots of sightseeing nearby if you prefer. Will definitely be going back soon!
