Description

Once upon a time the cabin called Barnhouse was a ...BARN...! Rest assured,

the animals are long gone and vacation luxury has come to Nemo, SD. There is a

loft with two single beds, a bedroom (less door) with a queen sized bed, and a

queen sized sofa / sleeper in the main room. There is a complete kitchen with

small gas stove and small refrigerator to go with the bar-b-que on the 10 x 30

deck. All utensils, paper products, and bath / bedding are supplied. Also for your

enjoyment: satellite TV and room A/C. Have lunch outside at the picnic table...!

Roast hotdogs at an evening campfire...! Wander across the pasture and watch

the trout...! Who knows what you'll see flying overhead on that 600' hike to Boxelder

The kids and I found Nemo! Nemo, South Dakota that is :-) We had a wonderful stay at the Barnhouse. There was plenty of room for the kids and I. The kids loved being in the loft. Joan and Brian made us feel so welcome. We all loved getting to help take care of the horses. The morning walks in the yard and to the creek were very relaxing. The view of the Black Hills from the cabin was amazing! We were within an hour or less of every where we went. We spent a day in and near Rapid city seeing Bear Country, Dinosaur Park, and Mount Rushmore. We spent another day at Custer State Park. Our final day was spent exploring Deadwood and enjoying the cabin. I highly recommend staying at the Barnhouse. We were very comfortable and close to every thing we wanted to see and do.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Brian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
