“Great stay at Casa Limon!”
We really liked our stay at Casa Limon. It was three of us, a couple and our friend. Casa Limon had all we needed: comfy beds, plenty of space, good kitchen with utensils, hot water in the shower and a working wi-fi. In the backyard we could hang the hammock for reading during the day and sit around the table in the evenings with a bottle of wine. The house is a bit far away from the center, but buses run frequently and taxi isn't that expensive either. And in the area there are plenty of restaurants and stores, so there's no need to go to the center every day. Also the Grand Museo de Mundo Maya and Plaza Grande (a big shopping mall) are only a few walkable kilometers away.
“little cozy house”
our stay was very comfortable in this house with bus you can go to the city and also to shoppingmall a little park next to the house, nice!
“A great little home in a great Mexican City”
My wife , myself and a good friend had the pleasure of staying in Casa Limon in Merida Mexico. Being there for two months gave us time to appreciate the lovely home, neighborhood and neighbors. The home is a short taxi or bus ride from the city center. There are two nice bedrooms in the home and all of the amenities necessary for a long stay. What we noticed immediately was the friendly neighborhood. There is a park nearby for a leisure stroll or playing baseball. At the end of the street is a family operated laundry with a friendly lady who smiles all of the time. For grocery shopping there are numerous large shopping centers several blocks away and for the true Mexican dining experience there are numerous family owner restaurants a short walk away. The neighborhood is quiet and there are city buses available every 20 minutes that operate until midnight. We enjoyed ourselves at the home immensely and will return at a future time. I would recommend this to anyone wishing a comfortable and pleasing experience in Merida.
“Great house in Merida”
Stayed in Casa Limon for 4 weeks in January during the fantastic Merida arts and Music Festival. Located away from the centro in a safe, quiet and pretty neighborhood facing a park. A comfortable two bedroom house - ideal for a small family or single person as myself. Stores, restaurants, cleaners, etc. nearby. Has wi-fi, tv cable, kitchen use, car port, bus to centro is one block away - Around a 20 minute ride. Price was very reasonable.
“Delightful month in a real, everyday Mexican neighborhood.”
Casa Limon is a comfortable small house in a residential neighborhood. Very clean, everything works. My wife and I enjoyed our month there immensely. If you are looking for an experience living in a typical Merida environment this is it. There are many good restaurants within a five minute walk and taxis are readily available on the main street a block away. We rented a car for most of our stay which made for a fabulous time touring the many great ruins which surround Merida and exploring the city itself. Car rentals are inexpensive and driving in Mexico is great fun once you understand that the rules of the road are regarded mostly as suggestions for other drivers. I can recommend Casa Limon for a couple or small family. The lady who manages the house (the mother of the owner) was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood in our experience was safe and the people lovely. We also recommend the ruins at Uxmal, and for a swim in one of the worlds most beautiful natural pools, the cenote at Dzibilchaltun. All in all, we felt we got a very good deal and were very satisfied.
“Comfortable house in nice neighbourhood”
My girlfriend and I stayed here for three weeks and were very happy with the house which is comfortable and has everything you need. It's in a nice quiet neighbourhood with shopping and restaurants nearby. It's in the north-west corner of Merida so you will need to either explore public transport or have a car for visiting the centre of town, but the location is reflected in the price which is considerably lower than rentals in Centro. Leslie and her property manager were very helpful and made for an enjoyable stay.
“Practical , affordable”
Practical , more affordable than hotels for stays over 1 month duration, Nice reasonable package for autonomous people
I was the first person to rent this house in Merida. It has a good location and stores are within walking distance. Taxis are available on the main street which is 2-3 minute walk.
Its a clean, well equiped, well maintained house in a very quiet neighborhood. All appliances, A/C etc worked as promised. Theres a Wal Mart owned supermarket near, really good restaurants near, a guy who fresh squeezes oranges near, fresh fish near and a great laundry lady like 4 doors away. We stayed for 3 months.
“Happy little home”
This made for a happy little homebase while we were considering a move to Merida. It is located outside of Centro so we got a taste of a new neighborhood in the north. There is a childrens'school across the street we still remember fondly, where the sounds of happy music became an enjoyable part of our morning routine. It is in good repair and the owner responded immediately with one small item that needed fixing. The location was good for us because we rented a car and wanted to explore, but be clear you will not be walking to attractions, but rather living in a nice residential neighborhood close to shopping, places to eat, and buses that whisk you downtown. Once you learn your way around you find how well located this home is. We would go back.
