Description

One Manish provides self-catering accommodation for 6 people on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides.

One Manish is a renovated crofter's cottage, extended to create a substantial 3-bedroomed home in keeping with the traditional style. As much as possible of the original stonework has been retained and part of the old external wall now forms a feature internal wall in the sitting room.

The accommodation comprises:

Ground floor - large sitting room with uninterrupted views of the bay and with the Isle of Skye and mainland in the distance. Study/snug, wet room, fully fitted kitchen/diner with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric oven and hob. There is a solid fuel stove in the kitchen which can provide both heating and cooking if desired although the house features air-source underfloor heating throughout.

The ground floor is suitable for wheelchair access.

First floor - large main bedroom with ensuite shower room, family bathroom and two further twin bedrooms.

All heating, electric, linen, towels and local phone calls are included in the rental.

Please note that we operate a no-smoking policy.

Whilst our housekeeper works very hard in the time she has to complete the turnarounds, there is always likely to be a little dust that settles when she’s not looking, especially when the stoves have been used. I will, of course mention this, in case there are areas which may have been missed. We’re in the house now and dealing with the cobwebs - our uninvited guests work very quickly on these! I’m glad you enjoyed the house and the island.
