Description

Spend some time at our beautiful beach house overlooking Natural Bridges State Park. Hear the surf and see the ocean through the trees from the living room and the expansive deck. Drift into sleep listening to the waves from your bedroom. Walk down the block to the beach, build a sand castle, and play in the waves. Stroll down West Cliff and watch the surf crash against the cliffs. The house is also a short walk to Swift Street Courtyard, home to Kelly’s French Bakery, the Cellar Door Café, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, and multiple wine tasting rooms, including Bonny Doone, Copious Winery, and Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard.

The house had 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, with a reverse floor plan. The living room has ample seating for enjoying the view, cozying up to the wood stove, or watching the flat screen TV. The spacious master bedroom is also upstairs, and overlooks the park. Two bedrooms and the 2nd bath are downstairs. The front downstairs bedroom is bright and sunny, with a queen bed. The downstairs back bedroom is very large (25x12). It has a queen bed, and a sitting area with a flat screen TV and a futon couch which folds out to a full size bed. The room also has a loft with twin beds. It’s a perfect spot for a kids’ hang-out.

The house has been completely renovated during the spring of 2011. The kitchen and both baths were stripped to the studs and remodeled, with all new appliances. All doors, carpets, and floors were replaced and everything has been newly painted. The furnishings are also new, and the kitchen is fully stocked with plates, pans, utensils and serving pieces. We have a gas grill on the deck, and seating for 8. The house is also equipped with wireless.

We have lots of toys as well: 3 adult size cruiser bikes in the garage, two boogie boards, and 6 beach chairs, all for your use. Rental also includes bath towels, sheets, and beach towels (8). The kids will love making s’mores in the fire pit in the back yard. The boardwalk and downtown Santa Cruz are three miles away, an easy bike ride along West Cliff. The house is a perfect location for exploring Santa Cruz, Capitola and Aptos. Other great day-trips include Monterey and Carmel. Come, relax and enjoy!

My husband and I and our son, daughter-in-law and grandson stayed here the first weekend in June. It was better than the pictures and everything that was stated in the description was accurate. We had a great time and won't hesitate to rent again. We loved the view from the house and the deck was so lovely and warm in the afternoons. The house was very well quipped - they had more toys and things than we ever used. However, we did borrow some sand toys for the grandson. Great fun.

This vacation home is one of the best that i have stayed in, there is everything you would need for a family holiday. Kitchen is well equiped, plenty of linen and buckets and spades for the beach. Also, space for two cars on the drive (and one in the garage), which was helpful. All the bedrooms are nicely decorated. Santa Cruz is a lovely town and the Natural Bridge state beach which is 5 mins walk away is a great little beach. There is also a butterfly sanctuary nearby (10 mins walk) which is also worth a visit. I would definetly stay here again if i was going to visit Santa Cruz.

Our group included me and my husband; our adult daughter; my mother; two sisters and one brother-in-law. The house was roomy,comfortable,well-stocked, and located close to shopping and to the beach. We all agreed that the only thing missing was a hot tub!

Stayed here for five days in august when attending a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Owners proved very helpful during the booking of the vacation. While being a small distance from down town Santa Cruz the location provided us with scenic views and lovely cliff top walks. Could not find any fault with the house which had everything we needed and more besides. The open plan kitchen and sitting room with balcony were ideal for relaxing and entertaining when not out. Bedrooms were fine and suitable for the size of our group (8). Utilities were modern and of a high standard. Plenty of towels, bed linen and toiletries were provided. Bikes were an added bonus and my daughters found them very handy for getting around. Key to this vacation home is the homely atmosphere it provides helping you to relax and chill out.

This house was a perfect house and location for two families of five vacationing together. Each couple had a lovely bedroom and the kids enjoyed a fabulous suite that slept six very comfortably and even included its own TV with cable and wii. Recent renovations by the owners are very tastefully done, clean and modern without being fussy at all. The large deck is a wonderful place to eat meals and enjoy the fresh ocean air. The kitchen is stocked with every appliance you could possibly need while cooking on vacation. The garage has many fun beach toys for the kids to borrow. The location overlooking Natural Bridges St Park and just a five minute drive to the beach and West Cliff Dr is terrific. The SC Boardwalk, the wharf and Pacific Garden mall are a short drive. About 5-10 min north is Wilder Ranch which has a stunning coastal trail. All said, the owners were a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating. The home is a fabulous beach getaway. We hope to return again soon.

Our party stayed overnight celebrating a milestone birthday. We decided to fully use the kitchen to cook a complete dinner and breakfast for everyone, which worked out great since everything we needed was readily available. The home had plenty of comfortable beds for everyone. Due to the bi-level accommodations, we enjoyed some peace and quiet while the kids loudly played and slept downstairs in the back room and loft. The beach home was right across from the Natural Bridges state park. Within walking distance, we had access to the beach as well as the park. The weather that weekend can't be beat...the kids didn't want to leave at the end of our 24 hours stay.

“Awesome Vacation Beach House”

We were thrilled with the beachhouse we rented for our family vacation this year. The house has a spacious, open layout upstairs with a relaxing living room and beautiful kitchen (well-stocked too). Extremely clean and we loved the decor/furnishings--very comfortable and charming. The kids enjoyed having their own space in the downstairs back room which they quickly took over as the kids-zone for sleeping, games and movies. Another plus was the firepit in the backyard for making smores! We enjoyed the proximity to Natural Bridges and took advantage of the trails for running (some of us), walking and mountain bike riding. We also enjoyed having close access to the beach at the end of the street and used the boogie boards provided by the owners. We hope to rent the beach house next summer and we'll highly recommend this rental to other friends and family.

We love this house. It's close proximity to the beach or a quick bike ride to the Santa Cruz Boardwall make it an ideal location. The house itself is clean, comfortable and perfect for one large or two small families. The kitchen is modern and fully stocked. Just stop in at the local Safeway on your way into town and stock up on groceries and your all set. The living room is comfortable, and even has a wood stove for those cool Santa Cruz nights. The bedrooms are clean and cozy and very roomy. The downstairs bedroom/recreation room is great for kids with it's own television, lots of sleeping areas and it's own loft. Our daughter calls it a "Kids Paradise" The owners also provide bikes for their renters. There is a path along the beach that goes right to the Boardwalk! It's perfect and takes the hassle out of parking. You can also bike to nearby shopping, etc. We will definitely stay here again if it is available.

Our group of 3 families loved staying in your house. The kids could hang out in the large downstairs family room, and we adults could relax on the upstairs deck. Loved the open kitchen/living room layout. Close to the beach and park. Can't wait to come back!
