“Beautiful quirky apartment in good location for Fort Augustus”

Reviewed 11 Jun 2021

This is a lovely clean well appointed duplex apartment for 2. The garden is accessed through the downstairs bathroom which is a little odd and although the garden is for the apartment guests only, it is visible to all, so not secluded. The local restaurants and pubs serve good food. the Boat house has a varied menu and we eat there frequently. Also the Lock Inn is friendly with good food.

Response from the owner Great that guests enjoyed their stay at this place close to my heart. This is one of the very few properties at this ancient building having its own garden, nobody else could enter. Its a private garden with views into and through the cloisters and its entered through the original entry from the Scriptorium building. A sun trap with different seating areas and soon a fully covered pavillion surrounded by crowned kings and gargoyles gazing onto you. Enjoy!
