Great fishing along the Potomac is just minutes from the house and Great Falls is an amazing display of rushing water. Many people come from all over the Kayak and do water sports here. There are canoes available just a few minutes from the property as well in DC.

Response from the owner Thanks so much for taking the time to leave this review. These guests were just wonderful and took excellent care of the property which is sincerely appreciated! I will have to say, I love this property. It is very close to DC, surrounded by retail, right on public transportation and it is a very nice house indeed. We just put in new sofa's this year, keep our 300+ linens up to date and we try, try, try to keep it as clean as we can for each and every guest! I really consider myself a true Washingtonian and sincerely love sharing this property and my knowledge of the city. This area is just surrounded with all kinds of American History. Right in McLean is Claude Moore Farm showing what life here would have been like in Colonial Times. There is also an amazing play ground with a Merry Go Round and bathrooms located just minutes from this property along with another one right across the street. This property is a great place for small family gatherings, ladies weekend trips, or any group that just wants to have a great place to stay right next to DC. Response from the owner Dear Dora, Thanks for your kind review! I love staying here while we do maintenance on the property. I enjoy the Jucuzzi tub in the master bath, looking out into the backyard for birds and being able to walk to the grocery. As long as i wait past morning rush hour, I can get to downtown within 20 minutes along one of the most beautiful roads into the city George Washington Parkway. It's completely tree lined and the views into the city from Georgetown and across the Potomac River the Washington Monument really stands out.
