This was a great spacious vacation home for us. Me, my Wife and our Daughter traveled from Florida to Sedona to meet our son from California. This home was more than what we could have asked for. The Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and relax after a full day of touring northern Arizona (Grand Canyon, Monument Valley etc.). The house offers spectacular views of the Red Rocks from almost anywhere in the house. The Patio for us offered great relaxation time with evening barbecuing with watching the Humming Bird's. The house was easy to book, Sherry was very informative and we had no issues whatsoever. We hiked the local area’s (Devils Bridge, Boynton Canyon, Jerome, etc.) and found Oak Creek to be a hidden treasure with swimming access from Baldwin Trail Head (at end of road). We would definitely rent this house again!
Response from the owner Thank you Craig & family, You guys are great renters and are welcome back anytime. Best, Sherry
“third year rental”
we love it here..and are already booked for next year, can't beat the beautiful view from the deck. Yes, this is an older house/cabin. But very comfortable. When you have the windows open, the house can get dusty quickly.. just as any house. Sherry is making improvements yearly to the cabin. Can walk into town. Great location for all kinds of hikes. If you are picky and want Hotel type accommodations, you might want to look else where .. but if you love the outdoors and the fresh clean air.. this could be the rental for you. It even has a fire pit outside and fire place inside.
“Perfect for our family with young kids”
We were a party of 5 (3 adults, a three year-old and an infant), and the place was perfect for us. It is an older place that really is a house, but if you enter with a cabin/cottage mindset, you won't be disappointed. It was quite clean when we arrived. The BBQ worked fine for us. The bed arrangements suited us (master bedroom has queen bed with ensuite bathroom, bedroom has 2 twin beds that can be put side-by-side, den/office that is essentially open into the kitchen area has a comfortable futon queen bed). Ac worked very well during the day, heating worked well when we needed it at night. Location was important for us, as I was alone with the two kids without a car while the other 2 adults drove away on day trips. The place is a 600 metre (0.4 mile) walk to Tlaquepaque (brew pub and some other nice restaurants, cafe, toy store, candy/ice cream shop, galleries, fountains). It is a 1.2 kilometre (0.8 mile) walk to the end of "Trails End Drive" where you can access a beautiful section of Oak Creek (perfect for picnicking, toddler splashing in Oak Creek, tadpole observing, mini-hikes, etc.). In fact, that section of Oak Creek was almost nicer than Red Rock Crossing. It is a 1.2 kilometre (0.8 mile) walk to the shops of Uptown Sedona. It's the perfect place for families that are looking for an ideal location within walking distance of everything. And it's also perfect for those who would like the convenience of a reasonably sized house without spending more than $150/night.
When we walked into the cabin (which seems more like a home), we were taken by the unique furniture and how cozy it felt. We stayed with another couple and were so comfortable, not like you are on top of each other. Town was not far away nor were the hiking trails. The view from the back deck was beautiful with the sky changing every hour. The owner happened to be in the area so we got to meet her - What a gracious woman. We are definitely going to come back for a visit!
Every day we enjoyed the fantastic view from the living room and huge front deck...no houses just the wonderful red mountains. Large and spacious cabin with all the amenities, close to all shopping and yet on a very quiet crescent. Highly recommend and would definitley stay again.
“Perfect Couples / Family Retreat with Spectacular Views”
We rented this house for a first time trip to Sedona with my wife and in laws. Check in was easy and we had zero issues during our stay. The massive wrap around back porch lends to spectacular mornings and cozy evening barbecues with gorgeous mountain views providing a sense of serenity and escape. New to the area we found the home 2 minutes from downtown and a breeze to get in and out of. I'm not a "camping" type person and found this home to be a perfect fit for our family of 5 people. We will be back!
