Description

The Villa Hermosa consists of 2 private guesthouses (Villa Hermosa & Villa Toucan) located in the pastoral/rainforest hills just outside of Fortuna.

The base price is based on 2 guests.

Each additional guest is an additional fee per night.

If you are a party of 3 or more than the Villa Toucan is included (otherwise, it is simply not rented as the entire property is only rented to one family/group at a time).

Villa Hermosa is the first guesthouse. It has one spacious bedroom with California King & Queen beds.

Villa Toucan is the second guesthouse. It is also one-bedroom and is furnished with Queen & single beds.

The Villa Hermosa is perfect for the parents and 1-2 younger kids. The Villa Toucan is perfect for 2-3 older kids or teens.

Sometimes, parents prefer the Toucan as a private getaway.

Here are more specifics:

-The main guesthouse consists of one large master suite with both California King & Queen beds and sleeps 4-5 people.

It features a master bathroom, large outdoor living area, dining room, bar, kitchen & BBQ.

-There is a separate Villa (not connected to the main guesthouse) called The Villa Toucan which has a Queen & Double beds,

and a full-bathroom. Toucan sleeps up to 3 people.

-The property is over 1 acre and has a private pool with waterfall, large patios, & manicured gardens which include pathways, fruit trees and occassional visits from toucans, sloths and iguanas.

Swimming pool w/waterfall:

A recent guest (Robin from Maryland) recently wrote of the swimming pool (August, 2018): “The nicest pool water I have ever swam in!"

-The property also features a game-room with a red-felt pool table, dart-board, mini-bar and a third full bathroom.

-Our guests often enjoy bird-watching from the outdoor living room in the mornings (the birds are happy to eat leftover banana, pineapple and coffee grounds). During the 2018 migration period, we were visited by more than 60 bird species/

-The property is setup for relaxing with friends & family. Many groups & families enjoy hanging out in the pool, shooting pool, throwing darts, playing horseshoes on the manicured-lawn, checking out birds & trees along the pathways or simply playing board games, reading books surfing the internet in the outdoor living area.

-Honeymooners & couples enjoy the private experience and personal service. The property owner can customize (at no extra cost) all of your travel and tour needs.

-We are a 7 minute drive from the world-renowned Springs Resort & Spa, which allows our guests easy access to the resort via day-passes.

Temperature

-Several advantages of our location (just outside of Fortuna) are the famous Arenal breeze we receive (higher elevation than Fortuna), the quiet/serene beauty (outside of the hustle-bustle) and the perfect weather (70-73 degrees), slightly cooler than Fortuna (again, thanks to our higher elevation). Also, our hill is well-known to have the best view of the Volcano.

As of May 1, 2019 we have 2 newly paved roads on the way to the property; one between Fortuna and The Springs Resort & Spa, the other from Fortuna through Monterrey and directly to the Villa.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Judah (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
