“Spectacular!!!” Our stay at Hacienda Encantada during the days 21 to 25 July 2013, it was an unforgettable experience. Comfortable, clean and everything you need to have fun with the family. The landscape, the rainy season, and the ambient sounds of birds and animals were elements that made us feel at peace and in communication with nature. Although the way to reach the house was a bit difficult, the same was not reason to stop enjoying all of the wonderful of the place. Talk with Mayquel on the customs and way of life of the inhabitants of the area, it was very interesting. Without a doubt, we would love to return. Thanks Marty.

“Great Place in the heart of La Fortuna” The sleeping Indian is a great place. Each room has its own bathroom and shower. Took me a while to figure out the hot water but it worked. There is no air conditioning which was unexpected to me, but open the front and back porch doors and the cross breeze does the trick. We hardly used the kitchen because all the good restaurants aka Sodas places are 1-4 blocks away. If you do use the kitchen clean up right away because ants will be all over the place (its the tropics, what do you expect). Peter arranged our activities that picked us up at the house and his assistant Heidi made great suggestions. We bought a couple cigars and sat in the front porch chillin at night... it was the life. Laundry helped a bunch because a sudden down pour can happen at anytime then its gone... Dryer baby! You can't beat the price though... There were 6 of us and we all love it. If/When I come back to La Fortuna I will be staying at the Sleeping Indian for sure.

“Rave review” My parents, my wife, and my 8 year old daughter (and our tiny dog cookie) just returned from a 6 night stay at BirdSongarenal. It was everything that was advertised and more. There is a new deck (not shown in the photos currently on the site) perched out on the end of the front yard that if you do not find spectacular, you are surely brain-dead. Allan was a perfect host, and his parrot (Lori) was there to entertain each morning as well. We rested in the two hammocks that are available right outside the upstairs unit,(We rented both units) and were throughly pleased with the comfort and isolation that BirdSongarenal represents. You must find a moment to get there and chill out. To not do so is purely sinful.

“Breathtaking” My husband and I spent an amazing week at the guest house located just outside of Grecia. Joe and GeeGee were extremely gracious and the accomodations were magnificent. The view from the bedroom was breathtaking! There was a waterfall across the road that was a nice touch to the peaceful atmosphere surrounding this tranquil spot we were lucky enough to spend our time at while visiting Costa Rica.. would definitely come back.
