Description

A mile from the Estate entrance, West Bothy nestles among hills and fields. Often, in the evenings, deer come in to the gardens to graze. Attadale Estate offers glorious walking (including two Munros) loch and river fishing. When you stay in this cottage, you have complimentary access to Attadale Gardens at all times. Children can play freely with no passing traffic - only a single track estate road leading up into the hills. Wonderful for watching wildlife, remote yet only 7 miles from Lochcarron village with a tremendous general store and several good eating establishments. Ideal for exploring Skye to the south and Applecross & Torridon to the North.

The West Bothy sleeps 6 comfortably. It is attractively furnished throughout with an eclectic mix of antique furniture and modern pictures and prints. The comfortable sitting room has a wood-burning stove. The kitchen/dining room has a dining table, and leads into one downstairs twin bedroom. There is a bathroom on the ground floor with a shower above the bath tub. There is a double bedroom and an additional twin bedroom upstairs.

“I have returned time and time again to these comfortable cottages in a very beautiful part of scotland.”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2013

I have stayed at Attadale cottages many times, with friends, and with family including children. The cottages are well equipped, comfortable and welcoming. The surrounding landscape and gardens at Attadale house are stunning. it is a beautiful and peaceful place and we have wanted and looked forward to returning each time. Adults and children alike have been enchanted by seeing red deer very close - including when they sometimes visit the gardens around the cottages at night. The walking is good. There are good local restaurants, and craft outlets, and a well stocked store at Loch Carron.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for taking the trouble to describe the experience of staying at Attadale; it helps others to know more about what is available locally. We all appreciate it very much and are delighted when people come back to stay with us again.
