Description
Talamh Ur cottage is situated in a quiet crofting community on the beautiful Waternish Peninsular. Enjoy the the breathtaking panoramic sea views looking out to the Outer Hebrides, Dunvegan Head and the distant Cuillin mountains from the comfort of this spacious cottage.
Close by is the charming fishing village of Stein with the oldest inn on Skye and the well regarded Lochbay seafood restaurant. Boat trips can be taken from here to see dolphins, whales and other sealife. There are many places of interest to see, a tannery, potteries and craft shops
The famous Three Cimney's restaurant is within easy reach
The cottage is an ideal base for walking, cycling, kayaking, fishing,birdwatching, beachcombing and other outdoor persuits
Nearby is the township of Dunvegan where you can visit Dunvegan Castle the ancient seat of the clan McCleod, worthwhile visiting the castle gardens and a boat trip to see the seals. Dunvegan also has a bakers, general store, garage and health centre.
Talamh ur cottage has a large comfortable sitting room with an open fire,seaviews TV,DVD books and dvd's
The master bedroom is ensuite with a kingsize bed, there is a further double room and two singles
The kitchen/diner is very spacious and well equipped with dishwasher,microwave and fridge freezer.. Utility room with tumble drier and washing machine
The large garden is secure with plenty of carparking space, the picnic table is the perfect place to sit at the end of the day and watch the sun set over the Hebrides.or spend a relaxing evening by a real log fire.!

“Fabulous stay”
On arrival we met the owners Jeanette & David who are lovely people they where very helpful and told us all about the local area,David is a wine merchant which we found very handy as we didn’t need to go all the way to Portree !! The house has absolutely everything you could possibly think of , the photos make it look small but it’s not at all it’s a very spacious house with two bathrooms, three toilets , four very good sized bedrooms a great kitchen dining area and a lounge with views that just take your breath away ! We sat outside on the terrace watching a Sea Eagle which we saw every day , the Waternish bay is stunning . If you like cooking the kitchen has everything you need , very impressive, this house has the feeling of it being a home and it made our holiday ! Can’t wait to go back in the winter and get that fire roaring ! Thanks Jeanette & David the welcome bubbly was a lovely touch as was meeting you both!

“Lovely cottage in Skye”
Wonderful cottage. Cosy and well equipped. Unbelievable views. We just sat with binoculars looking at the bay and even spotted dolphins. Would definitely recommend!

“Lovely dog friendly cottage”
A really fantastic dog friendly cottage with lovely sea loch views cottage has everything thing you need and is very clean the owner left very nice bottle of bubbly and dog biscuit thank you hope to come back soon
