Description from owner

Description

The cabin is in a 1.5 acre paddock.

There are 2 other cabins in this paddock called Jens Den and Robs Rest.

Lucys Nest cabin is situated in the heart of rural Anglesey. It is ideal for country walks, a nearby reservoir (5 minute walk across the fields) offers plentiful wildlife along its banks, or relax on the veranda with a glass of wine and appreciate the quiet countryside. This is in the heart of Anglesey's farming community, so you may be woken in the morning to the sound of sheep in the surrounding fields..Please remember these are countryside cabins and not hermetically sealed hotel rooms.

The cabin has a loft bedroom with a double memory foam mattress, accessed via a wooden ladder not suitable for children under 6 years, and a pull out settee in the lounge. The lounge has a TV and DVD player. The cabin is heated by a multifuel burner.

Double doors open out onto a wooden veranda. The kitchen has a full sized cooker, fridge and microwave.

This cabin features a bath rather than a shower. But anyone preferring a shower should not be deterred as a super shower is available in the toilet block reserved for the few infrequent caravan club members who pass by occasionally which is a short walk from the cabin.

The nearest beaches are approx 15 mins away and the nearest supermarket is about 25 mins away by car.Local facilities include horse riding, clay pigeon shooting and go karting.Llanddeusant, a small village close by, is home to the only working windmill on Anglesey and an historic watermill.Llantrisant makes a very well located base for making the most of this island; from the castle, restaurants and shops at Beaumaris, to a family day out at the sea zoo, and the beauty of walking the Anglesey Coastal Path. The attractions of the mainland are within easy reach and include historic houses, beautiful gardens, fabulous mountain scenery and wonderful walking and climbing.

Please also see details for 2 other cabins on site Robs Rest and Jens Den

Interaction with guest

Please note if two guests are booked we will assume that one bed is required. But please please let us know if both beds are required and we can make them both up. Thanks. The cabins feature a map of Anglesey with shops and petrol stations marked along with our favorite eating places and beaches. Also we have a welcome booklet which tells you names of our dogs and just how greedy they can be. We highly suggest you don't feed them a scrap. (Or they will bug/love you for ever).

“Perfect Family Stay”

Reviewed 17 May 2021

We loved our stay at these lovely log cabins in a beautifully quiet part of Anglesey. The cabin had everything we needed and we were fortunate enough to be able to book all three cabins in the paddock so our wider family could stay. It was the perfect setting to spend time with family after a year of lockdowns. I’d have liked to have stayed longer as there’s so much to do and see on the island, and the log cabins provide a great base to explore. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly, and were happy to leave us to it, but available should we need anything. We’ll definitely be booking again - I even took my kitten who was absolutely fine in the cabins and the paddock, and we met the owners beautiful cats and dogs too. There’s a lot of helpful maps in the cabins for things to do and places to eat and shop. I did find that the farm where the cabins are actually has a google pin, so we used google maps to find the cabins without any problems. Thank you to Diana and Rob for our brilliant stay.

“Brilliant!”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2019

We had 6 adults and 10 children (ages from 1-13) in our group so we booked all 3 lodges for our annual family get together. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming and the accommodation was spotless, warm and well equipt. The log burners were well stocked with wood and coal and we were told to just ask if we needed more. We were really lucky with the weather which meant we spent most of the time outside, eating, drinking and playing lots of ball games. We even took along our bouncy castle, which Diane was more than happy with. We all had such a great time, we're looking at booking again for September :)
