This area of Center Grove does not have any public transportation. You would need your own vehicle for transportation.

Interaction with guest

The home has a Vivint SkyContol lock system. Each guest will have their own unique door code for the system. Most of the time my schedule does not allow me to meet guest. The house is on an acre and on one side of the yard that is between this house and the neighbors, I will work on the veggie garden, depending on the season. If you are having outdoor family activities or events, I would not garden at this time.

House rules

Please put any used towels in the laundry basket. It is not required that you take the linens off the bed. Please put dishes in the dishwasher and if you want you can turn on. There are garbage cans outside at the back of the house. If you are staying past a Sunday, I will pick up any garbage in the trash cans outside for pickup on Monday. I do not require my guests to clean the house.I want you to enjoy your stay whether it be for visiting family, friends, local activities or business travel.

At first, I did not think it was my guest's review and that it was on the wrong property since the review said you stayed in March 2018 and not the correct date March 2017. I had to search back to stays from last year when you stayed during March 2017. From our conversations via Flipkey/TripAdvisor last March, you had responded to me that you found everything, and how I was thoughtful with the accommodations. You had said it was a truly is a cozy cottage and you had a pleasant stay. I guess I misunderstood you that you did not want to have the reservation from the date you reserved. I thought you were unsure about the time that you would be arriving since driving and needed to ensure that you would have the house earlier than check in time of 3 pm. On some days I have guests arrive the same day someone leaves, and thought you reserved that day so you could arrive when you wanted and have the house ready for your travels to Indianapolis since you had mentioned you be arriving early morning and if I had a guest staying that day checkout for them would be 11 am and arrival for 3 pm. I have had guests either pay for the night if they are arriving on a " red eye" flight or ensure that I will have the house ready for an early arrival, if they did not want to pay for an additional day. I have accommodated specific requests for a discount for situations such as these. There is a 36 gallon hot water tank for the house and it is set at the suggested manufacturing temperature to prevent scalding. For the plumbing and space in the house that was the largest normal electric heather size I could purchase, though it says it gives 46 gallons of hot water per hour on the specs. The security system does not have any cameras installed in the the house. I had the Vivint Sky Control alarm system installed for free and had free service for a year service. I was offered to test the system during that time through another one of my vacation rental sites. After the free year, I have continued to purchase the service since my guests always have their own unique code for the door system and the Vivint offers my guest the option to arm the security system in the house as they feel necessary. Besides, the doorbell camera for both guest safety and protection of the home there are no other cameras. The doorbell camera shows the person arriving in the house the video on the panel that is above the fireplace that can be reviewed by my guests as they are walking in the door. This is helpful if someone unknown comes to the door, the guest can talk directly to the person through the panel above the fireplace. I can also view the doorbell camera from my phone app and assist guests if they are having any problems with entering the house, though I think I have had only one or two guests ask for assistance.That was when I first got the system and I always send guests detailed information on how to access the house and try to ensure they are comfortable to unlock the door with their unique code before arriving since I am am usually working when guests arrive. There are no other cameras in the house. To have cameras in the house is strictly not allowed under vacation rental sites unless disclosed to guests. Their is a fire / smoke and carbon monoxide monitor in the hallway, that when sounded, alerts you to respond to customer service through the the same panel above the fireplace. If a guests does not respond within Vivint's set time frame the Fire Department and police are immediately dispatched. There is also the same monitor in the closet that hold the gas furnace. Besides this system, we still have the multiple fire, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the house to keep our guest safe. The alarm system also allows the guest to press an emergency button and talk to Vivint if they are having any medical emergency to get help right away. I would have hoped that you would have reached out to me immediately with any concerns that you had when you stayed at our vacation rental last March. That would have given me the opportunity to respond to any concerns you had last year. Regards, Julie
