Description

This beautiful apartment is located on the Giudecca island,it's overlooking the city of Venice and the south lagoon but still remains very closer to San Mark's Square (only 8 minutes by vaporetto ) . It's on the third floor in a stately building with elevator , and thanks to the large bow-window in the sitting-room you can enjoy the view of the cupoles of the san Mark's basilique and the south lagoon .

This apartment is decorated in Art Decò Style and equipped with every comforts . I follow a very deep hygienic protocol.

You can benefit from air conditioning or heating and the security shutters allow for maximum privacy and security . You have a kitchen with all you need for cooking and a suggestive typical venetian terrace called " altana " where you can take breakfast or relax yourself in the magical landascape of Venice.

It's very important and useful the boat 2 : to go in San Mark square directly in 8 minutes ; to across the Giudecca channel in 3 minutes and then by walking you see and enter in the heart of Venice and all the remarkable place of the city are reached .

I can pick you in the place more useful for you,usually Giudecca Palanca boat station and I showed you the apartment and give you all the tips for transport and visit to the city. As extra service I can organize for you a tour in the Prosecco hills or a cultural visit in the surrounding of Asolo.

“Amazing flat”

“Venetian High Life”

Incredibly comfortable and with theatrical views from the altana and big lounge windows this flat is truly unbeatable for a stay in Venice. We much preferred living on Giudecca to any of the areas of Venice, including two flats on the Grand Canal, where we have spent many weeks over the past twenty years or so. The boatyard opposite provides daily entertainment, but when we could tear ourselves away from the lagoon views, the main sights of Venice were no more than six minutes walk and a vaporetto trip away and the no. 8 whisked us to the Lido in about twenty minutes! Giudecca has a village atmosphere and families live and work here so there is plenty going on 24 hours a day. The Stukey has brought a few more tourists than we remembered but this has improved the quantity and quality of the shops, there is a good fish shop, friendly butcher, several delis, bread and cake shops and a cantina - which we unfortunately never managed to visit as the owner's opening hours and our itinerary never meshed! The Co-op is over a couple of bridges and there are several restaurants - seemingly the ones closer to the Stukey being the most expensive. Daniela must have provided every guide book on Venice ever published and a ceiling-high rack of CD’s plus a TV. But for our week the sounds from the water, the seagulls, passing boats and the laughter from the boatyard were all the music we wanted. The flat is spotless and fascinating and I’m tempted to say that all a visitor needs to take is a toothbrush - perhaps someone, sometime might find that something is missing, but we wouldn’t bet on it! One thing, however, is absolutely necessary for a visitor to get on arrival - a water bus ticket - bar swimming there is no way off this amazing little island!
